Book Description

"The above image was captured in Kansas, on October 12, 2008, from a distance of 500-600 feet. The photographer is one of many private Sasquatch researchers throughout North America who seek not fame and fortune but merely a respectful nearness to, and understanding of, this retiring, harmless creature.

Now, for the first time, their patient, groundbreaking work is chronicled. Those who have come to know this intelligent fringe- and forest-dweller consider theirs a relationship with a creature much closer to an ancient human than to an ape, one who has co-evolved with us over eons, the two species crossing paths only rarely. Such intersections fill the pages of Impossible Visits.

2.0 out of 5 stars ALWAYS AN EXCUSE February 28, 2013
Verified Purchase
There was only one account in this book that in my opinion was authentic. The others were marginal at best. There always seems to be some excuse as to why photo or video proof cannot be obtained. The accounts where Sasquatches allegedly climb on the roofs and bang things on the side of the house while the homeowner sits quietly inside shrugging it off as normal Sasquatch behavior and not even leaving their chair is simply ridiculous. I believe Sasquatch is real, but some who claim to have these impossible visits are simply delusional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Type-2 Bigfoot Contacts April 24, 2012
By LoveBF

There are reported to be four different types of Bigfoot contact and this book is an excellent, if not the best, collection to date of type-2 "habituation" contacts. Other books report on historical accounts (past to present), but these tend to be from a type-1 contact paradigm only. Christopher Noel and the contributers of this work should be thanked for their courage to document their amazing and sometimes "unbelievable" experiences. I say unbelievable as from the perspective of a hunter, hiker, or for that matter someone who sees this creature as nothing more than an elusive and terrorifying beast. This book shows another perspective and these people have them in their backyards! I've read the book once and just finished the ebook. Had to have it for my Kindle! The text-to-speech option is fantastic and I lay in bed listening to the book being read to me. Now in my 40's, I'm not to embarrassed to admit I still enjoy a great bedtime story ;) This was an awesome read!!!

If you think Bigfoot is real, you will find the encounters fascinating. If you don't, read it as fiction, and it will still draw you in.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Double-Dare You to Read This Book! July 2, 2013
Verified Purchase
Regardless of where you stand on the existence of Sasquatch, this easy and quick read comes from one of a handful of truly authentic personalities in the world of Bigfoot research. Christopher Noel is as accomplished a story teller as you're likely to find, and his no-nonsense common sense approach to conducting serious research about what I completely agree is the most interesting subject of our time, is refreshing.

Believe it or not, there really are individuals for whom research activities do not represent attempts to find out for themselves whether or not Sasquatch actually exist, because they already know they do. Instead, Chris and others are content to present their evidence and experiences in an entirely transparent manner, leaving the reader free to determine for him or herself what's real and isn't.

Speaking of evidence, once you fully understand the capabilities and limitations of current FLIR technology, you will realize Christopher Noel's thermal imaging video evidence is completely real (as is Sasquatch) because it cannot be hoaxed or faked, which makes his East Texas Thermal Woodpile Video perhaps the very best single piece of evidence there is.

In my opinion, being an open-minded skeptic is the only way to go, because it gives you room to question without offending plus room to believe when faced with insurmountable evidence. So I personally am more or less OK with the steadfast skeptics, however I think it's not enough to only say what something isn't. This book presents the best, most level-headed and realistic information and commentary there is on the subject, which after having read it I think you might better understand the responsibility to also say what something is. No one does that better than Christopher Noel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Book for Sasquatch Fans April 20, 2013
Verified Purchase
The book has interesting and believable accounts. It is well written, and highly recommended for anyone interested in the Sasquatch mystery. It may not convert anyone...but is thought-provoking and may encourage someone to keep an open mind. I have re-read it, and am glad to have it in my collection.

I love the research in this book, it's told as a story and has lots of good info for armchair bigfoot enthusiasts!
Chris Noel is a researcher that shares his experiences with his audience!
