4.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have For Fans Of Intrigue
Mission Impossible may not be as great as Syphon Filter, but it holds it's own in this genre. Anybody that likes espionage and action should get this game. The plot of the classic movie only takes up about 50% of this game's plot. The rest of the plot deals with you trying to stop an arms dealer from selling nukes to an unamed terrorist country. The control is a little...

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst shooter ever
Seriously, guys. ... I purchased this game immediatly without looking at reviews or stuff (which I usually do. It works out well 75% of the time), knowing the fact that I loved the film. This game was a big dissapointment. It is not playable at all. The framerate is horrible compared to old and new games. The graphics are the opposite of impressive... this game is just...

The control is a little loose and the graphics are just average, but the fun factor of this game is worth the price. You get to do great spy things like take on other peoples' identities, sneak around bases, and blow Jim Phelps to Kingdom Come! The game even includes some humor into the dialogue which all spy fans can relate to. Overall, if you love the genre of Action/Espionage, get this game now. Don't forget to buy the classic Syphon Filter too!

i thought it was really fun. if you liked goldeneye, you'll like mission:impossible!

the graphic aren't very fancy, but are serviceable an reasonable attractive.

it's all the cool stealth and gadgetry that really makes this game what it is... lots of sneaking, neat missions, character, and spy stuff...

i can't wait to see what infogrames has in store for the release of the next m:i movie!

4.0 out of 5 stars Exciting Adventures with Ethan Hunt, February 12, 2001

This is a very fun game that is more challenging than anything else. When you look at the recent Mission: Impossible hollywood remakes, and look at what the game does, it has the whole shibang: the face masks, the bombs in submarines, the gas chambers, the hidden secrets in the vents, mysterious women in red and so on. It is a very social game where walking and talking reveals a lot of the secrets. It is as real as a video game's gonna get, with guards looking at you constantly just to see if you are in with any foul play. The map is very usefull and adds to the fun. It's a very time-consuming and enjoyable video game.

The graphics are the opposite of impressive... this game is just packed with flaws. This game is a mess. Do not buy this game, no matter what. If you want a PlayStation shooter, grab a copy of one of these: Medal of Honor (and its sequels), Metal Gear Solid, Syphon Filter (and its sequels), Tomb Raider (and its sequels), and/or Resident Evil (and its sequels).

3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok, January 2, 2002
This review is from: Mission Impossible PS1 DISC ONLY (Video Game)
It was ok. I think that it was really to hard to controll Eaton. I wish that it was like syphon filter or metal gear solid. Even 007 releases are much better, but if u want to buy this game go ahead, and u will get enjoyment out of it on the 1st and second level, but the rest of it is just average.

4.0 out of 5 stars Like Syphon Filter but BETTER!, December 13, 2001
This review is from: Mission Impossible PS1 DISC ONLY (Video Game)
It's pretty cool! Alot like the movie. The best part he makes masks so he can trick the guards. That's pretty good. If you think you like this game, check out 007: The World is not enough. Now that's cool too.

And a SHAVE ME POODLE!

Don't get me wrong, this game is very fun. But there were things thats could use improvement. First, the graphics were really weak. It could of been alot better. Next, the acting of the voices. I need that to actually get into a game. Alot of times it was just really monotone. But on the other side, the missions are really fun. Lot of those things you see in the movies that make you say "Whoa" So by all means, get the game

5.0 out of 5 stars This game kicks!, January 20, 2001
This review is from: Mission Impossible PS1 DISC ONLY (Video Game)
I recently recieved this game for Christmas from "Santa". Thanx Santa! At first while playing I had a little bit of trouble figuring it out. About two weeks later when I played it again I took my thoughts and strategies a step higher. This game does require a bit of thought and thinking outside of the box. The graphics are pretty good, there is a good use of tools and weapons, and the game is realistic (most of the time). I cannot say whether or not this game follows the movie - I haven't seen it. All I can say down that road is the part where Ethan must break into or accsess the world's most highly secured computer is in here. In my opinion, the best missions in this game are the CIA escape and the mole hunt. They are both full of action and suspense. The only down-side to this game is that it's a bit dated. When I saw this in a store I could not see the full title due to a price tag blockage and had originally thought that this was the M:i-2 game. However, no matter how old this game is, it's still awesome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mission:Imfunble, August 24, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mission Impossible PS1 DISC ONLY (Video Game)
The best game in the the world. Better than a bond game.If your looking for a spy game this is it. I have a ton of games and been playing them since i was 2, but this one is my favorite of them all. It dosen't take monthes to get past a level. it dosen't have a lot of blood and gore too. cool gagets, cool guns, and it wont self destruct in 5 seconds, but you may.
