One of the best books on the B&O Railroad ever written.,

This review is from: Impossible challenge II: Baltimore to Washington and Harpers Ferry from 1828 to 1994 (Hardcover)
Herbert Harwood takes readers through the history of the B&O between Washington, Baltimore and Harpers Ferry in this well written and copiously illustrated book. The narrative is well researched and well written, so much so that this book is considered to be an authoritative source on the history of the early B&O with James Dilts' "The Great Road." It's a fun book to read and an excellent way to get into the history of the B&O, especially if you live within the area covered by the narrative.
