This is a wonderful book. The publishers have taken what appears to be Vellum paper and printed the impressionist works onto it. This allows light to pass through the paper and the color which makes the picture jump out. Using liquid colors increases the viewer's delight.
Your kids, or you, will love this book and the effects you get. Lots of fun with spectacular results. I suggest the publisher (Dover) add a set of pens to some of the books as a package as a lot of folks will not know the best kinds of pens or pencils to use to achieve the most vibrant color.Pentel Color Pen Set, Set of 36 Assorted Colors (S360-36) There are lots of flesh tones in these pictures of the Impressionist, so pick a set that has good flesh tones or use Prisma Color pencils in flesh and light flesh.
