4.0 out of 5 stars A Delightful, well-written Regency I'll read again and again
It's a shame that this book is out of stock because I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the world of Regency romance. Donna Bell's "An Improper Pursuit" is a delight to read. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not the greatest
This book was pretty good, but some parts were rather underdeveloped. The title was not altogether fitting.

This review is from: An Improper Pursuit (A Zebra Regency Romance) (Paperback)
It's a shame that this book is out of stock because I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the world of Regency romance. Donna Bell's "An Improper Pursuit" is a delight to read. The characters are well drawn and the names of the women, Chastity, Tranquility and Sincerity and their mother, Lady Hartford (Divinity -a misnomer if there ever was one) focus on how names may or may not reflect the character of the individual. Chastity was "ruined" in the eyes of the Ton by a kiss during her first season and her mother has never let her forget it. However, Chastity is no meek, subdued miss, no matter what she shows to her mother. Alex Fitzsimmons is a hero to wish for as he plays the injured war hero in order to catch a French spy. His attention soon turns more to Chastity, however, as he realizes the spirit of the eldest daughter of the house. The Christmas house party gives him the opportunity to dance attendence on Chastity and search for the spy. When Chastity becomes caught up in the dangerous business, he knows that he cannot lose his love. Chastity proves her spirit is up to the adventure and Alex's love. I look forward to rereading Tranquility's story in "Sweet Tranquility."
