I'm a college professor and spend numerous hours reviewing students' written work. There are those students who understand the writing process and their work reflects these skills; reading their papers is a pleasure because I'm able to focus on the content and their grades are typically favorable but there are also so many students who struggle to just get their ideas in order and although they may have the correct information their writing is so difficult to follow that their overall score ends up being hurt. I'm so happy to have found a book that is so easy to read yet it's so full of valuable information for any student entering college. At such reasonable price it really makes a great stocking stuffer now that the holidays approach, you will not only be making a present to a student but to his/her instructors having to read future papers.

I save my reviews for the best books I read. I am a writer and writing reviews can be a timewaster.

First, the table of contents states exactly what is in the book. Lance delivers on all the promises he makes in the table of contents.

Second, people are reading this book to the end. I can see that because the popular highlights continue to the end.

Third, I measure a book by how many actionable highlights I make. I stopped counting at 40.

Finally, the tips are easy to understand and illustrated with great examples.

Conclusion:

The title says the book is for students writing a paper. In my opinion, it is for anyone who writes. I write eBooks for Amazon. Lance's tips will help me improve my writing. If you are looking for a book about improving your writing, choose this one.

This was a concise, fun to read, and tremendously helpful book. If you are serious about improving your writing and want a guide that will help you put that goal into action NOW, this is the perfect book for you. It explains concepts in a way that are easy to grasp and even easier to carry out. I would consider reading this book a great investment. For a small cost and a small time outlay, this has potential for a great payoff!

This book offers the very start elements of writting 5 paragraphs essay. It is written in casual language. Altought it does not get too much details it offers quick reminders which are considered in essays. This book is suitable for someone who is really starting to get into writing. To talk about one chapter (deadline) the author narrates about handing in the nigth before make you perform better; I would not go so far as to say one night work before hand in your paper, but rather one week considering research and proofreading for academic essay since there are other activities to do.

I'm going back to school after a long absence. I had no idea how to write a paper of any kind. This book was a big help. It was very easy to understand and follow. The author goes in to great detail about the entire process of writing a paper or essay.
