This is a good book for an expirienced runner, January 1, 2000
This review is from: Improving Sports Performance in Middle and Long-Distance Running: A Scientific Approach to Race Preparation (Paperback)
This is a good book which takes scientific aproach to running. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who's new to running as a guidebook but for those athletes who want to know why they really train by doing intervals or long runs. It also tries point out what research has proved to work and what doesn't work. I would've expected a bit more information on the training on how to use this info in practic.

Great Book, August 15, 2010
This review is from: Improving Sports Performance in Middle and Long-Distance Running: A Scientific Approach to Race Preparation (Paperback)
This book will explain what to do for training and why. It will scientifically explain the reasons for the types of training. I say read the entire book. Its long, however, very informative.
