Small book, with great information. the author knows his soil, he's been at it for years, and it shows. This is no encyclopedia on soil, but it's as simple as this... if you want good soil, buy the book, and you will know exactly what to do, and learn more besides. It's short, simple, and very sweet. Helped me alot, and I know gardening.

I purchased this for my wife who does the gardening. She knows better than to let me around plants; I could kill a plastic plant. She has found the information useful as we are preparing our "victory" (crisis) garden and need to have the best production we can.

I found this pamphlet to generally have good basic information. It was only 30 pages long but I felt it gave a reasonable grasp of the basics of soil and what makes it work well, and how to diagnose and resolve problems. Overall for the price it was well worth it.

Anyone who's tried to grow something had probably had a problem with bad soil, at-least from my experience. Having this book around and using the methods in it could save a great many plants and days filled with frustration.

Great pamphlet short and to the point, time tested knowledge. Almost as good as a neighbor with a life time of experience.
