Don't let "sykopth58"'s below review deter you from learning from this book. He is obviously a retired police/military shill who is trying to (unsuccessfully) use obfuscation tactics in order to prevent free citizens from learning about how to defend themselves (and they ought to learn how--ASAP). He is also apparently "addicted" "to" "random" "usage" "of" "quotation" "marks". "Christ".

I was issued one of these years ago, and I must say that it's like a bible to survival..... With the way this world is going, terrorism is steadily knocking at our back door every day, I would advise every AMERICAN to own one of these and study it closely. All I ask is to read it closely, wear protective gear until you become more familiar with some of the projects, and never become too relaxed.

As I have been "milatarized" for many years, I have looked into almost EVERY-thing on this "type" of subject matter, provided on the Internet. This is not the "true-authentic" (at least, the copy "I" got)military manual it is portrayed to be. The only reason ANY military would issue this manual to it's soldiers, is so they could drop it in ENEMY territories to be used by the enemy in attempts to kill the droppee but, would "REALLY" result in the deaths of the picker-uppers. There are things in here that I knew not to do as a 10 yr old child. If MOST of the ITEMS placed in this "manual" were really used, the USER'S life would suddenly, drastically and "EXPLOSIVELY",end. I will only mention the most, in my opinion, absurd. Let's put 1 acid in a CONTAINER and then add ANOTHER acid to this same container, while presumably still holding this container. Even most children know not to combine 2 acids. C'mon, already. I saw a few things that would WORK, as long as the person applying these tactics is absolutely, completely willing to DIE, at a moment's notice. MOST of the items posted in this "Military Manual" can be found in all/any of the "cookbooks" already floating around the Internet. This "list" consists of, what I have come to call, "IDIOTS THAT WANT TO DIE" books. If a person buys this "Military Manual", seriously expecting something USEFUL to magically happen, upon reading and TRYING these "practises", they will NOT be disappointed. They will "magically" disappear. "I" bought this manual, in the hopes of, perhaps, saving a young person's life that is wanting to do MORE than just READ this book. If there were TRULY any book of this type worth COLLECTING for future "USE", it would be banned or removed by the US government. I hope I have saved some lives. There are, of course, SOME out there, that our government, I am sure, WANT to own this "Military Manual", as it would quickly kill off the users and not be used to harm INNOCENTS. If I could have "read" this manual, before purchasing it, this review could have been written without me WASTING my time and money.
