5.0 out of 5 stars We love them!
These covers are great. Our daughter has started to outgrow the Newborn size and we're planning to order more in the larger size.

They fasten quickly and easily with no chance that I'll prick her with a pin.

3.0 out of 5 stars good, but not great
We got both these covers and Bummis SWW covers for our daughter as gifts. At first my husband and I liked these covers better, because it looked as though they were a better fit. The only downside is that they tend to stain -- if she has a blowout, there's a slight stain on the cover. But who sees the inside of the cover anyway?

I would definitely recommend these covers to anyone considering cloth diapers.

We got both these covers and Bummis SWW covers for our daughter as gifts. At first my husband and I liked these covers better, because it looked as though they were a better fit. They are a good fit and really soft, but NOT very durable. After a few times washing, it was clear to me these covers weren't as durable as the Bummis. The velcro began to become overly stick and the shape began to warp...and I wash the cover in cold water and line dry. The Bummi covers on the other hand look the same as the day we got them (except for a few stains, which happened with both covers). These covers are good, but if you plan on having more kids adn reusing covers, go for the more durable bummis.
PS - I did wash the covers in cold water at first to make them last longer, but it's best to wash covers in hot water to disinfect. I started washing the Bummis in hot water (with my diapers) and they're still holding up fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite covers!, February 26, 2008

I have cloth diapered my daughter since birth, and I have tried several covers (Proraps, Bummis Super Whisper Wrap, Thirsties, Bumkins, Swaddlebees ABC wrap, and these Imse Vimse Soft covers). The Imse Vimse Soft covers and the Thirsties are my favorites. These covers have soft, stretchy elastic and leg gussets to ensure a good fit on skinny or chunky thighs (my daughter has had both at different stages!) and contain messes. I use them with a variety of fitteds and prefolds, and we have never had a leak. Sometimes I Snappi the prefold, but a lot of times I just trifold the diaper and lay it in the cover. It has a slight pocket up front to lay the diaper in, to help hold it in place. This occasionally results in poo getting on the cover, but the cover itself has never leaked. I especially like this cover because it is made of thin, pliable polyurethane laminate (PUL), so it is not thick and crinkly like some covers.

The only slight downside to this cover is that it comes only in white, but we always put clothes on over the cover anyway, so that doesn't bother me a bit. (The Thirsties covers work great, too, and come in a rainbow of colors!). The diaper does not have laundry tabs, but I always just reattach the Velcro and turn the diaper inside out for laundering. It is so thin that it will line dry in very little time. We have had no problems with the covers retaining stains, and they have held up very well for the several months we've been using them. The Velcro isn't even pilly.

One note, these covers do run large. My daughter is tiny, so she is still able to wear the newborn cover at 9 months (14.5 lbs), though she can also wear the small size now.

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice diaper cover, not perfect, July 6, 2007

This review is from: Imse Vimse Bumpy Soft Cloth Diaper Cover - Small (11-17lbs) (Baby Product)
The Imse Vimse covers are nice in that they are roomy enough for a fitted diaper, fit well around the waist & legs and will contain even big messes. They also hold up well in the wash; I've put them in the same sanitizing cycle as the diapers and dried them both on the line and in the dryer with good results. Their lightweight construction helps them to dry very quickly, too. The seams are smooth, nothing to scratch your diaperee's skin, and the cover is available in several styles & prints.
However: the lack of laundry tabs on the fastening sides mean that you either need to re-fasten the soiled cover when placing it into the laundry pail (kind of a pain as this might require both hands), or deal with the resulting "laundry snake" when the loose hook & loop fasteners snag other items in the wash. Additionally, these come in separate sizes rather than incorporating the "growth snaps" used by some other brands; this means that you will need to purchase more than one set of covers as your diaperee grows.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best diaper cover i have found, January 4, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love this diaper cover. It is soft, snug and no leaks even from my heavy wetter. The velcro does not touch my baby like in the bummis or bumkins, and there is a "hood" that keeps the diaper from comming out the top. love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've tried a lot of different covers, April 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
As a new mom, I have gone through 7 or 8 different covers to find one that worked for me. This is the one. I read a lot of reviews on Amazon and really picked up the hype about snap closures and how they last longer and preform better....but my kid grows faster than any closure's life. I have given away all of the snap-closure covers and only use this now. I LOVE this cover for a few reasons:

1. Changing is fast and easy. Trying to get snaps to snap when she is squirming is nothing I want to do again. I can look at her and make faces while I'm putting this on and it takes about a third of the time.
2. I have inserts (from all of the other diaper covers I bought), thin cloth diapers and really thick ones. This cover fits them all.
3. High back, high front, the only leaks I've had are from lagging on changing out the wet ones.
4. Its soft and looks comfortable. Not super bulky depending on what size diaper is underneath.
5. High quality construction, durable. No sign of the velcro wearing out after lots of washes and dries.
6. You can use pins or snappis, but the cover holds it in place without.
7. (and this one is the best) There is no fleece liner. I don't know how you are supposed to stick your hand inside the pee-soaked liner pockets on some of these diapers without getting your hand wet and stinky. Then there is the little matter of a dirty fleece liner touching her skin. No thanks. With this cover it is a fresh, clean diaper on her and the only part that really gets dirty is the seam around the legs which only happens if there is an insert instead of a diaper.

The only drawback, which I think matters so little I still gave it 5 stars is the fact that the velcro is a little scratchy and if the cover is not flattened out behind to cover her skin when you initially change the diaper it can leave a red patch on the upper thigh. Totally preventable with some awareness.

I highly recommend this cover. I have also used the wool one from Imse Vimse and love that one as well although this one stays drier on the outside. If you could only get one cover, get this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite, January 26, 2008
By
My 14 month old has been cloth diapered from birth. We have 3 of these covers, and I would not buy them again. There are other covers on the market priced lower that work better.

Specifically, the way the velcro on this diaper is arranged is problematic. The tabs tend to roll, and then scratch baby's thighs or tummy. The fit of this cover was very good for my daughter, and we never had leaks with this cover. But the velcro scratching is no fun for little ones.
