Product Description

Flushable liners can be used between the diaper and the baby's skin, letting moisture pass through to the diaper while preventing solids to soak into the diaper, which will take the mess out of washing your cloth diapers. Just flush away the mess, and spend more time with your baby instead of dunking diapers. These bio-degradable flushable liners are an all natural paper product; they are unbleached and biodegradable. They come in 200 sheets in the baby size and 100 sheets in the toddler size.

WARNING: This review contains explicit discussion of poo. If you can't handle reading about poo, please skip to the next review.

My oldest child was a MESSY POOPER. Every single poo was a certified nasty mess. I was so thankful when I found out about disposable liners. If cloth diapering is a nightmare for you because of poop, you NEED this product. You will continue to cloth diaper in peace and enjoyment (well, relatively).

My next two children were different from the oldest. Their poops were often "the good kind" (as my husband and I came to refer to them). That being the case, we didn't use the liners after every change, but we were still thankful to have them and used them a few times a day (especially in the nighttime diaper 'cause one of our kids would like to wake up in the morning and then poop and sit in it). If your child is like clockwork with poop, you can put one in only when you know poop is imminent.

What the other reviewers are saying is correct, you CAN and should re-use these liners if they only got peed on. When I would transfer my diapers from the washer to the dryer, whenever I would see one of these liners, I would lay it on top of the dryer. They dry so quickly that by the time the diapers were dry, the liners would be, too. This saved some extra wear and tear on the liners and enabled me to get even more use out of them. (I didn't go hunting for them, though. A mom has enough work to do without picking through every piece of diaper laundry on its way to the dryer!). I would estimate that out of a package of 100 diaper liners, there were maybe 4 that would end up getting shredded and unuseable before it got pooped on. Not bad!

I have used this product in both sizes for a continuous 4 and a half years and can say it is a great product. It does stink to be buying a disposable/consumable product when you're cloth diapering, but if fear and dread grip you at poopy changes, this product is worth the money! I do recommend the larger size for toddlers. When you see how large it is, you'll think you can get by with the smaller kind, but don't try it. They shrink dramatically with their first wash and the toddler kind is the perfect size even after a washing.

Another note: do NOT flush these liners in septic systems!

5.0 out of 5 stars You need these if you are going to use cloth diapers! February 1, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
I have just converted to Bum Genius all-in-one diapers and I LOVE them. I have the toilet attachment so that I can spray away any poop that does not shake off. However, I found that this was somewhat time-consuming, and it left my toilet area somewhat wet, so I looked into diaper liners. I chose Imse Vimse because many people said they threw the unsoiled, wet liners in the wash with their diaper laundry, and this sounded like something I could buy into, although a little unbelievable. However, it is true. You can use them again and again until they get pooped on. They are so nice because they don't fall apart when you are trying to remove them from the diaper. I also got the large size to ensure that they covered the entire diaper, and they are definitely large enough to cover all you want to cover. Now cloth diapering is MESS FREE and I am free of a stinky diaper pail! The cloth diapers are far more absorbent than disposables for my little boy, and for those who like to keep their baby very dry and so change diapers often, they are so much more economical. Now they are mess-free and just as fast as disposables since I have these diaper liners. YOU NEED THEM!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars the best liners June 5, 2008
By Mary
I've tried several brands of flushable liners, and definitely like these the best. Unlike others, they are strong enough to hold up to several washings and be reused if they weren't flushed away, which is great if you don't have a child with scheduled bowel movements! Because of this, they may appear more expensive, but the package will actually last longer since the majority of the liners will be reused at least 3 times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing product, makes poo clean up Much Much! nicer
We love these. As others said, you can wash them a few times if they just get pee on them, after a few washes they will start to shred so you can see they can safely be flushed. Read more

I'm now using these liners with baby #4 and have no plans to change. Because they are more sturdy than other brands, they hold up to a wash or two (if only wet), meaning more bang... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible!
These are so scratchy and rough! They gave my poor baby a red irritated bum, I felt terrible using them. I would not recommend these to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for cloth diapers
Great quality product. They flush great when they need to be flushed, and when they don't, they can be washed and dried a couple times before they develop holes.

1.0 out of 5 stars I would like to give zero if possible.
I had the worst experience - my sweet girl immediately got a skin inflammation (a rash), while the liners still leak for the poo. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but a bit narrow
These wash very well, but they are a bit narrow and don't always catch everything on the sides. Better than most, but not perfect.
