Very Nice product would buy again,
This review is from: Imusa 7-1/2-Quart Aluminum Pressure Cooker (Kitchen)
Admittedly I kinda bought this as a mid sized pot for steaming and pasta. My other pot is a bit small and my giant ones aren't needed as much. The aluminum pot of course heats lightning fast to make some quick pasta etc... So I gave it a go. (Remember aluminum is reactive so not good for tomatoe sauce etc. But heats at an incredible rate for speed)
And I haven't had a pressure cooker in like 20 years. Not since the early 80's when I was a kid. So I was like hey pressure could be cool again! So It was kinda a fun nostalgia thing for me. But I put it to the test and it really kicks butt. I wanted to make some potato water for a sourdough starter I was making. What I got was potato water and potatoes for potato salad in minutes! I totally forgot how fast these things are. The salad was great. It is a nice classic one with the weight jiggler like I am used to. But also has a safety pressure latch to hold the handle when under pressure. AND a separate pressure safety valve. AND a slot away from where the handle sits so the gasket can blow slightly if all else fails. VERY well designed. Also the gasket is made of silicone. Wich is VERY good if you braise using anything with alcohol in it. (Such as wine) Silicone doesn't decompose when exposed to alcohol such as rubber products wich actually dissolve over time. I recommend it to anyone who needs a mid sized pot or wants to make an awesome dinner in literally a FRACTION of the normal time. I will be using the pressure top ALOT! :) Keeps FULL pressure at an extremely low flame setting.

I love my Imusa pressure cookers, I bought three of them and they are very helpful in my kitchen, I have a huge family and I can be cooking all kinds of different dishes at the same time, in less the time as well. From meats, beans, in less than an hour, beans less than 30 minutes. I'm waiting for my third one to arrive. I have Rheumatoid arthitris and they are very light to handle, and carrie very light weight. Also the money invested was great!!! Imusa 7-1/2-Quart Aluminum Pressure cooker I wish they have the big ones over 16 quarts Thank you Amazone.com Maria.

I have been cooking with pressure cookers for around 30 years. My mother and grandmother consistently cooked with pressure cookers. I have used Mirro, Presto, Fagor. I just bought this Imusa and am most satisfied with it. Some of the others would sputter and spit, making a mess until enough pressure built up to form a tight seal. This did not sputter or spit, and formed a tight seal quickly. There is no residue on the lid or outside of the cooker when complete. I just cooked a wonderful beef stew in it in 15 minutes start to finish. The multiple safety valves seem to work well and make me comfortable with using it. The only thing that might bother some people is that it makes a faint whistling sound while under pressure. Sort of like a whistling tea kettle - but very faint and not piercing. One nice addition to this one is that there is a strainer cap that fits over the pressure hole, to prevent items from plugging up that hole, which should be very advantageous. The capacity of this cooker would be ideal for a large pot roast.
My only disappointment is that the directions were very sparse, and there was not a recipe booklet included (I like to get recipe booklets specific to an appliance). I would definitely recommend that anyone who has not used a pressure cooker get one that includes a recipe/detailed instruction booklet. It is essential to have good instructions for cooking things like beans and rice in a pressure cooker. However, an experienced pressure cooker user should be quite satisfied with this sturdy product. I bout a Fagor a couple years ago, and the flimsy plastic parts broke quickly, rendering it unsafe to use.

This pressure cooker looks lovely, but no user's manual is included and it was very difficult to open. I checked their website, but most of the tabs to contact the manufacturer do not work and there is no way to contact them or to get an instruction manual.
Seems it has lots of safety valves, but is very difficult to use with no instructions. This company definately is not user friendly and their website is useless.

After the first use the aluminum inside turned black which I think is dangerous, so I'm buying a stainless steel one.
