I'm happy to know that IMUSA is selling its products in the US now (It's from Medellin, Colombia). I've had this product for 3 years now (in metal color) and it's the best lemon squeezer I've ever had.

This lemon squeezer does exactly as advertised, it squeezes lemons! and does it well! Very good build quality, which is obvious at 1st squeeze. Does not bend of flex at all, allowing you to get the max pressure for every last drop of juice. Also, a complete breeze to clean.

Not overly complex, but does exactly as anticipated and advertised.

have had this for a year......no cracks or scrapes to the metal .
I use it to squeeze all citrus.
it has a larger size dimension....so oranges work easily.

easy to squeeze, the kids love using it too.

I thought the product was well-made when I received the item. It felt heavy and sturdy. After 3 lemons, the top handle snapped in half! I don't consider myself a weakling, but I expected a product made from aluminum to hold up better than this one did. I recommend avoiding this product and buying something more reliable!

I purchased 5 of these for friends who coveted another similar unbranded one that I have had for several years. I could not find the same one or many others locally, so I researched the ones available through Amazon. Although this was one of the least expensive, it got good reviews, and I did not think this was an item that you needed to spend a lot of money on. However, when I received them, I noticed it was much lighter in weight than mine, did not open fully at the joint as mine did, and the pin is only "capped" on one end of the joint with the exposed "rivet" on the other. One of the 5 also had a fairly large blemish on the enamel. I have given 3 of them to my friends so far, and they have used them successfully, but as it was recently, only limited use. I do not know if they will stand the test of time (I hope they do!), but wanted to provide at least an initial review. I do recommend hand washing any brand purchased (and this is easy enough to do), as I think this will prolong the integrity of the enamel and the joint, and insure the citric oils are removed. It is difficult to fully assess an item like this from a picture and brief description online, but it would probably be worth spending a bit more if the extra money was truly reflective of higher quality. I would gladly amend this review, if possible in the future, whether positive or negative based on more extensive use. As far as the transaction with Amazon is concerned, it was smooth and delivery was speedy, and they were offering "Buy 3, Get 1 Free" on this item. However, I was a bit disappointed that one was blemished, especially as it was for a gift, but I did not want to bother with a return or exchange.

The thing works ok, until one day you are squeezing a lemon and the handle snaps in half, crushing your finger, and whamo! Blood blister. Wont be buying another one of these. Take a look at the customer photo I uploaded to see the damage. Mine lasted about a year. Not too bad I guess, except most of the kitchen tools I got from the dollar store last longer than that

Once you get the hang of this gadget it saves lots of time in the kitchen when juicing fruit.

I've been using this Imusa lemon squeezer for a while now, and it's held up nicely. I toss it in the dishwasher without any problems. Mostly used for limes, a pitcher of margaritas used to be a pain in the wrist, so to speak. I don't think it would work well with a very large lemon, unless the fruit was on the softer side. Unfortunately, here in the midwest, sometimes we get citrus fruits that are as hard as rocks.

We use our lemon squeezer 3-4 times per week and it works great. It's durable and metal, not plastic, so you don't have to worry about breaking it by putting too much pressure in the squeeze trying to get every last drop. It works exactly as it's intended.

So my mom requested kitchen gadgets for Christmas and I got her this and she loves it.
