Editorial Reviews

You become a legacy band by innovating, not imitating. For over 13 years The Early November have been inspiring fans and bands with their unique blend of indie and alternative rock. The band's last 3 releases have all sold over 100,000 copies each. The Early November seem bigger these days than ever before. The 2012 album is a journey of the struggles and the joys in life that we can't see coming. Every second of it feels more real than anything they've ever done.

The Early November's return with their newest album, In Currents, is as good, if not better than any reunion album I have ever heard before. In fact, this album surpasses The Mother, The Mechanic, and The Path. It is brilliantly written, and Ace Enders and company have never sounded so perfect. From A Stain On The Carpet to Call Off The Bells, this album keeps you intrigued and interested as each song expresses the changes and lifestyle mishaps and concerns we all go through in our daily lives. The best songs are definitely A Stain On The Carpet, Close To You, In Currents, That's Not Your Real Name, and Call Off The Bells. Enjoy this album.

This is a seriously great album. Especially the single "Tell Me Why" ... I can't explain how much I love it. I just connect with it somehow. I think this might be my favorite of the EN albums, and I'm not biased because I just got into them within the last 6 months (I know, I know, it was a sad existence without them). I'm just extremely impressed that this was a "comeback" album... it's amazing even without being that. I recommend you buy it in a heartbeat. Also, it has cool album artwork. And I'm a sucker for that :)

I was skeptical when Early November announced they were making a new album. I was at the show in New Jersey when they announced it. The crowd was ecstatic and I was excited at the idea of it.

I love this album. I bought the MP3 a while ago but wanted to own it on vinyl. The vinyl quality is great and TEN have entered the music scene six years later gracefully. I'm excited for this bands future.

It's a solid effort overall. The singles are perfect, the production (courtesy of Ace Enders himself) is great. Towards the end, the songs seem to sort of bleed into a wash - a few forgettable ones there. But the closer, "Call Off the Bells," is fantastic. My only criticism is the liner notes - at least in mine, a few lyrics are noticeably wrong. Not sure how this happened, but it's a minor complaint.
The band made a solid return and I can't wait to see what they do next. If you're a fan of the band, you need this album.

I really liked this album. I wasn't sure if this band still had it, since there last album. But,I really like all the songs.
The vinyl I got was blue! It looks really sweet! One review says it sounds horrible, but I have to disagree it sounds alright to me. I'm using a Pionner pl-4 with an Audio Technica AT120E cartridge. To me it docent sound as bad as they claim.
