5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet pickles, this is a great book! May 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Mo is a private investigator but mostly she just poses as the 'honey pot' for husbands suspected of cheating. One day she gets an assignment to break into a car and gets stuck in a most vulnerable position. (this is the first scene of the book and it was really funny - I read it twice) The owner of the car, Ross Grant, (a actor from a popular movie who's been out of work for a while) finds her and they somehow get tangled up in a blackmail plot involving the Russian mafia, a stripper, a Ross Grant impersonator, and an insane ex-girlfriend who doesn't accept the breakup. Oh and there is a book convention, complete with furries! All the while they have a sleazy journalist following them just close enough to show their 'shitake' to the world but not close enough to be of any help.
This book was a lot of fun. The main character's strive to keep a g rated mouth kept me giggling. The plot was well planned out and I couldn't guess the end. There was a real mystery here and no one just handed them the answers. Action packed from start to finish, the author managed to fit in plenty of funny and even a believable romance. I didn't know there was a 'humorous romantic suspense' book category out there, but now I am sure I have read the best of it. I would love to see these characters again and if I can't, if this is it for Mo and Ross, then I will settle for anything else this author has written. I can't imagine I won't love them all.

Ms. Mason has done it again. She's created memorable, believable yet quirky and charmingly flawed characters who find themselves in unpredictable scenarios from which they extract themselves with their myriad talents. AND they make us think and laugh and keep us in suspense the entire time. A very enjoyable read!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rolicking Romp May 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
"Mo" aka Imogene Tuttle (and no she is not to be confused with one of the Three Stooges...) is a PI for Incredible Love. And no, it is not a front for an escort service. Rather it's a private investigative agency that gets the goods on straying husbands or wives - through the talents and "assets" of none other than the beauteous Mo. This humorous romantic mystery is a rollicking romp. Complete with a somewhat over the hill movie star who hasn't lost any of his "yumminess", a Russian mafia leader who is not happy he is being blackmailed, and a host of quirky secondary characters that make this hilarious story as rich and convoluted as a Shakespearian comedy. Settle in and enjoy the clever characterizations and the witty, zany dialogue. Add a dash of mystery,a dollop of romance, and you have a funny and rewarding read from beginning to end.

5.0 out of 5 stars James Bondsesq! May 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What in the squash is going on in this muffin place? how I started talking when I finshied this one! l just loved this cute, suspense-filled, sexy, funny book. The lead character (Mo) is such a firecracker! So much so, I kept looking over my shoulder to see if she was somewhere in the room while I was reading. Her investigative escapades portrayed her as a cross between a female James Bond with traces of Maxwell Smart. What a creative and imaginative author!

5.0 out of 5 stars what fun May 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thoroughly enjoyed this book--light reading,a convoluted comedy of errors. Every twist and turn had me laughing. Although funny, there was enough mystery to keep me thinking between food references.
