I am going to say something I thought I'd never say, "There was too much sex!"

I liked all the characters, especially the were-tiger Kristian. He brought a new facet to the Mating between, Eric & Kim. I felt there should have been more building of the story Kim & Kristian, to give her a reason to actually choose, rather than going, "I love Eric & would never mate you!" It would have been more compelling if Kristian was all out evil or everything & more in a man and her heart was truly torn.

The ending was anti-climatic (for lack of a better word). Kristian did so much to get her then up & goes "Sure ,I'll give you up since you asked me so nicely." The build up was mild, but the let down was ginormous.

There was sooo much potential in this book, and it just fizzled under the weight (& pages) of SEX. I know some think more is better, but not in this case. I literally just skipped pages during the final sex scenes toward the end. I was exhausted and not in a good way.

Mating call is book two In Felicity Heaton's Heat series and I must say I thought book one was smokin !! Mating calls being the perfect title - we are taken on a whirlwind of hot sex, lust, love passion and lots of loving!

The time has come for Kim and Erik to mate - they have waited two years for this day to be mated and bonded for life. But some stranger is coming to Kim in her dreams, a white panther that also brings out urges and wants in her through her dreams, is Kim able to resist him in real life? She knows that Erik is the one she wants, but is she able to dodge the mating call.

WOW!!! I must say mating call was hotter than the first!! Normally one would not expect a second book in the series to be better but this was certainly so in Mating call. The scenes where scorching, sexy, erotic and downright Titillating!!! Yes your blood will be pumping - your heart a racing and I'm sure this read may just bring out some primal urges in your too ** waggles eyebrows**

I loved that Erik was territorial - Kim was his and his alone - he would have done anything for her... Even ripped out Kristians throat if need be.. I felt a tad sorry for Kristian, he may have done some not so friendly things but I think when you're in love your do things you normally wouldn't. I'd love to see more of Kristian in future books to come and also Erik and Kim and even Sean.. Maybe even Sean and Kristian may just have their own story to tell one day?

Wonderfully delivered and vivid scenes ** wink **.. Descriptions and emotions well put forth, and as always Felicity never disappoints!!

A sexy read for all those readers who enjoy shape shifters, erotic encounters and a fab storyline to boot!!...

It's filled with lots of sex, ** fans oneself** so if you not after a steamy read then this is not for you!!

I really enjoyed the first book. This books had me skipping pages and pages of sex trying to find the story line. If she does a book 3 I hope she puts less sex more of a storyline.

I wanted to know what was going to happen with Erik now that his mate was dreaming about someone else. I found out but wish I hadn't bothered. It was an ok read but all that sex without a solid foundation loses something. This is a good way to pass some time but nothing more than that.

In Heat: Mating Call takes place two years after In Heat. Erik and Kim are now living together, sharing an almost perfect life. They are beyond excited when Kim starts showing signs of the mating heat. Everything is right on track until Erik notices a shadow during one of their dream visions. It's another man. Not wanting to alarm Kim, Erik hides this information. During another dream vision Kim notices the shadow man too. The further the mating heat progresses, the more solid the shadow man, Kristian, becomes until one day Kristian joins in.

Because Kim and Erik missed the mating heat the first time, there is now a glitch. They learn that Kristian could interfere with the mating, claiming Kim as his own. Kim and Erik fear that another man will again ruin their mating. Kim is scared that Erik will eventually resent her even though she has no control of what happens with Kristian during the visions. Erik fears that Kim will leave him for Kristian. Kristian does not care what anybody want, his only goal is to make Kim his mate at any cost.

I'm not a fan of love triangles, however that is not why this book only got three moons. Mating Call started out great. There was the excitement of the mating heat, toe curling sex scenes, and two very pissed off alpha males. The entire novel felt like it was set up for this huge battle over Kim and then everything fizzled out at the end. So while Mating Call was on its way to four moons, the ending definitely stopped that from happening. It was not a bad ending, just very anticlimactic.
