Book Description

An Amazon #1 customer rated political thriller.
One of The Best Books of 2011 by The Kindle Book Review.

About In Memory of Greed:

A powerful, corrupt group of individuals have set their sights on Murhkin Mocado to help carry out a nefarious scheme. Born of relentless greed and hunger for power, these men are willing to sacrifice countless lives to bring their insidious plans to fruition. However, the purveyors of evil deeds are also being watched by one Joelle Barstow, an operative well versed in the tradecraft of industrial espionage. Initially sent to gather information on the CEO of a specific corporation, Barstow rapidly gets in over her head and uncovers a web of deceit involving big business and government.

Once Barstow crosses paths with Murhkin Mocado her skills are pushed to the limit, as she tries desperately to navigate this dangerous and deadly world. Mocado, expertly manipulated by his devious handlers, initiates a chain of events leading to one of the worst man-made ecological disasters the world has ever known. Will the pair escape with their lives in order to bring those responsible to justice?

More Reviews:

"For a novel with 'greed' in the title, it is exceptionally generous with intelligent action and a plot grounded in relevance. Spanning the globe with believable characters, In Memory Of Greed floors the accelerator and never lets up." - Ryne Douglas Pearson, author of Simple Simon ( basis for 1998 movie, Mercury Rising )

"A well plotted political thriller filled with many spellbinding moments. The characters were well drawn, interesting, and compelling." - Louise G. ( avid reader )

This mystery/thriller takes the reader on a rapid-fire adventure, beginning in the United States, racing through the breathtaking splendor of Ireland, and culminating in Kenya; one of the most exotic countries within the boundaries of Africa's "Dark Continent."

"If you're looking for a geo-political thriller that will take you around the world within a literary work of art, you must read In Memory of Greed, by Al Boudreau. Follow Joelle Barstow, and ex-Navy SEAL Murhkin Mocado in this must-read novel of greed and justice. 5 stars." - The Kindle Book Review

"In Memory of Greed, our featured novel for April, 2011, is one of the most riveting stories I have read, and a fine example of what indie authors have to offer. This book is highly entertaining, thought-provoking, and will result in restless nights due to your inability to put it down." - L.M. Stull, founder, Between The Lines Book Club

5.0 out of 5 stars A Riveting Story February 2, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I totally enjoyed reading this book, it had everything: twisty plot, likable(and despicable) characters and finely written adventure.Obviously, lots of research went into the concepts related to the world of spying, intrigue and government corruption.
Looking forward to the next one!

5.0 out of 5 stars review January 28, 2011

Riveting and suspenseful, In Memory of Greed is an action-packed thrill ride that keeps you turning the pages in anticipation. Colorful characters and stunning locations keep the imagination running wild. Leading up to an intense, and vengeful ending. I highly recommend reading this novel.

I know that I am not sharing the majority view here, but I just can't join the crowd and swoon over this book. I made it about a third of the way through before there were too many "You have GOT to be kidding me!" moments for me to continue.

The author does have a decent talent for writing without the constant grammar and spelling issues prevalent in so many other indie offerings so I am including that fact in my rating. The storyline had potential, but when you start running into one unbelievable scenario after another, each trying to outdo the previous one, it loses appeal. It gave the book a juvenile feel.

I might read another book from this author, if I could be assured that I wouldn't be required to pretend I was 12 years old again for it to keep me interested.

This was a pretty well-written mystery. The plot isn't obvious from the beginning, and interesting turns in the plot kept me reading to the end.
