Book Description

March 2, 2010

Few people know the controversial world of professional cycling like Bradley Wiggins. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, he became the first British athlete in 40 years to win three medals in a single Olympic Games, which led to his being awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE). The 2007 Tour de France ended in disappointment for him when his teammate failed a drug test—but he roared back in Beijing, winning double gold. In this updated version of Wiggins’s warts-and-all account, he reveals his incredible life in cycling, and the truth behind the sport.

This autobiography makes us sympathise with the author... nice read indeed, but from the first chapter it is clear that this book was not proof-read well... later on in the book, when he refers to 2007 Tour de France in which his whole Cofidis team got kicked out of the Tour, he referred to it as 2008...

The Palmares results also have years entered wrongly as well as missing wins and errors.

Nice colourful photos and appreciative training advice though.

Anyway, I loved reading it but the mistakes makes it not ready for publication.

Don't know too much about the Brits at the top levels of road racing but here is a guy that was world class on the road and the track. Never knew much about track (thought it was boring)this book gives an insight into a tough part of being on a bike indoors and Wiggins' transition to road racing. Nice to get more stories about cycling and cyclists. Hey you wannabes, It takes more than good legs and lungs. Excellent read.
