5.0 out of 5 stars Mysterious aliens and missing mothers August 5, 2012
By Maize
Format:Kindle Edition
Mysterious aliens, confused citizens and a missing mother: it's all here in this one rather long, short story. It kept me busy reading during a relaxing afternoon waiting for the rain to fall. One of these days I must visit Roswell and see the alien museum for myself. This story makes me want to take a road trip and see what adventures I might have; hopefully not quite as exciting or disturbing as the characters in this story!

5.0 out of 5 stars Squirming in your seat August 21, 2012
By Nina
Format:Kindle Edition
Type: A Non-Fiction Story
Setting: At Billie-Ray's Bar and Grill a location in Roswell (on Main Street) - early around 2AM in the month of March on a windy morn.

The story is told in first person narrative and is a sci-fi tale. If you like reading stories about aliens, this will spark your interest. At one time or another, surely, we've heard of those alien tales. The character Danny who was abducted as a child and now fearing re-abduction as an adult is totally plausible. The story makes for a great Discovery Channel screen view, or film addition. But don't just settle for aliens, the author has the details full of suspense, mystery, drug dealings and more. The author does an awesome job of putting the reader-audience in the moment. She brings her vivid, detailed, and imaged descriptions of the scene and its characters (humans and aliens) to life - as the reader navigates through those pages. It all seems so real; especially, in Chapter 22 when the author captures a full development of the effect: . . . the light descended and transformed into a saucer shape, getting larger and the orange glow turning to green as the saucer approached me. It landed in the field right next to my car.
. . . "You were abducted."

The way the author concludes her story, one can say: "This won't be the last we'll hear from this author." Certainly, there is much more to come as she opens the pages to new chapters.
" Going to Carlsbad" should make for an exciting read.

4.0 out of 5 stars In Roswell, well anything goes September 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
After racing through her previous short, In Santa Fe, Salacious, I was eager to catch the next instalment from Ms Lowe. While In Santa Fe opened with more steam than a Turkish Bath-house In Roswell, Re-abducted plunged us straight into a scene right out of the X-Files complete with UFO's, little green men and a government investigator who uses his visions get to the truth.

Tower is a master of the twist and misdirection; you never know what's coming next! Her plot lines are woven together like fine cloth and her characters stand out from one another in Technicolor. The story races along at break neck speed with snappy dialogue and vivid detail that will leave you breathless.

Like any great mystery series, Tower reveals enough of the central plot throughout the story to keep you hooked, fingers itching to get hold of the next episode to see if Cinnamon uncovers her mother's secret.

5.0 out of 5 stars What do you think about when you hear, "Roswell" December 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's funny, you hear or see the word, "Roswell" and your first thought is UFO's and aliens. I picked up this little book and enjoyed reading it, it is a fun read. I like the original twist and turns and the novelty of the characters, Cinnamon and Burro. It's a nice way to escape from the real world for a little while. A well written mystery with the mystique of Roswell as the backdrop. I am looking forward to reading the next installment in Tower Lowe's series to see what happens in the life's of Cinnamon and Burro. Thanks

More About the Author

NEW RELEASE -- NOVEL LENGTH -- In Gallup, Greed, digital copy ON SALE for 99 cents thru September 29, 2014.

Lonnie is stabbed to death while his sister, Mirage, is in a black out. Did she kill him? Gallup, New Mexico provides the backdrop for greed, scrambled brains, illicit love, and murder. Cinnamon and Burro trail a gallery owner, a young boy with TBI, and a group of greedy young artists through the high desert, looking for a murderer. Burro suffers visions of the crime. Spirits communicate with the suspects. Cinnamon and Burro search for answers and the illusive Momma makes a phone call from the past.

My namesake, Eiffel Tower Lowe, "burned herself up" in the pink room -- or that's what Daddy told me. The pink room was right down the hall from my childhood bedroom, and there was a fireplace at the end of the bed. Did she burn herself up right there? The gruesome mystery of Tower Lowe haunted me all my life, so I brought her back to life for my quirky mystery stories.

The series starts with the unexplained beating death of a middle school boy in Dulce, New Mexico (In Dulce, Disturbed). The investigators travel around the state, meeting quirky characters and solving crimes using Burro's hallucinations to provide clues. Cinnamon pursues her long lost "Momma," who abandoned her at the tender age of 6. In every story she finds another clue to Momma, and Cinnaman is determined to find her. At the end of 10 stories, 10 crimes are solved and Cinnamon knows what happened to Momma.

A dead teacher on the front porch of a Zuni, New Mexico home sends Cinnamon on the trail to solve the second mystery, In Zuni, Zymotic. Quirky characters, including an Aunt and a girlfriend provide clues to the crime and to the whereabouts of Cinnamon's elusive Momma. The exotic location includes a controversy over Zuni kachinas (spirit beings), part of a home-grown New Mexico mystery. Follow the trail to Momma and the killer in #2 of the top mystery series.

Salacious, silly, sad, and sanguine, In Santa Fe, Salacious, #3 in the series, takes Cinnamon and Burro into the underside of Santa Fe, the city different. A man dies of a blow to the head in St. Francis Cathedral and a cast of sexually confused characters vie for the role of lead suspect. Who killed the hairdresser Marco as he prayed quietly in a chapel in downtown Santa Fe?

In Roswell, Re-abducted explores the fate of a young mentally ill man who grabs a stun gun from a cop to kill an alien. Burro's visions provide confusing clues that eventually solve the crime and bring Momma heart-breakingly close.

In Carlsbad, Cavernous, finds Cinnamon and Burro in the middle of a crime based on bitter resentments simmering for years in the Carlsbad heat. Visions, the usual cast of quirky characters, and Burro's hallucinations follow many twists and turns in the fourth installment of the New Mexico mystery series.
