Comment: This book has quite a bit of wear. Book edges have staining and a few smudges. Cover shows quite a bit of age and use. Binding is canted. Despite the cosmetic issues, this is a very readable copy.

Well written, and oh boy does it stick to the subject. On that note the only thing bad is that since this would mostly be read by those interested in Patty Hearst she isnt talked about much, Neither is The Spectacular Gun battle In LA.It does show how Pat soltysyk goes to Berkeley and changes completely even changing her name to the puzzling ''MIZMOON''she eventually drops out of Berkeley To get blue collar Union Jobs then quits them and eventually Splits The whole program. She joined the SLA getting rid of her big King sized Bed with hand made quilts and all her material possessions in a massive yard sale. Her Brother who was a teacher and a long hair [but not quite as ehem ''HIP'' as his radical sister apparently]cant understand her Involvement With The SLA which was not only a Left wing political faction but rather cult like.He decides to find her before the FBI does .Even after reading this I am puzzled still by what motivated Such radicals towards Communism during that period Since There actions and Lifestyle certainly would not be Tolerated In a Real Communist system. However Most of The book deals only with his search and the people he finds along The way .priceless piece of history ,Over all a good book, but No happy ending with this one.

Fabulous, mesmerizing account. I knew Pat in high school. She was so dynamic, too bad her idealism undermined her true potential to do good in the world.
