I have listened to John Prine for years. Somehow I missed this album. Normally it takes a few times hearing a new song before I really like it. With this album I truly enjoyed each song the first time through. The sound quality with the MP3 album download is very good.

Every John Prine fan should own this album.

How can one go wrong with a John Prine song; the added bonus is the heavenly drawl of Iris Dement brings the listener a droll ditty advancing the virtues of under-funded love. Akin to another low-budget pantheon, Factory Girl by the Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger could harmonize with Grace Slick for a remix.

Iris Dement is about as down to earth as any female singer has to be to stand up next to John Prine who was the first and only singer-songwriter to perform at the Library of Congress (2005). By the way all of my multiple downloads went just fine and quality couldn't be better.

I like the honesty of this. It is honest with fresh simple sound. Has a backwoods flavor with adds to the song. Nice works. Funny twist, yet shows true love.

This is not a new song and I've known of John Prine for decades. I only found Iris Dement a few years back and then found this on Youtube as an old video from a 70s concert. I can't believe I missed this one for so long. It's funny, cute, and inspiring, if a bit on the adult side. A great song about enduring love between a man and a woman. There's a lot to be said for adoring your love for their quirks as well as their strengths. The quirks provide the most lovable humor, anyway and that is what fertilizes a long term relationship. Thanks, you two.
