For a first book, it showed commendable promise, and I was interested enough to read it quickly.
There were wrong words here and there, and a strategic comma now and then would have made the reading flow easier. The dialogue was sometime corny or stilted (and I got rather weary of everyone 'giggling'--they're supposed to be adults, after all). The romance happened a little too fast and easy for my taste; even with the 'Mate' premise, there could have been more suspense.
I did like the action at the end, the spicy love scenes, and the relationship between all of the characters. The ending was good, and I can easily imagine more books that will perhaps highlight some of the interesting 'brothers' that we've met in this first book. The author's writing style was OK, it just needs a little dialogue refinement and a little deeper plot to distinguish it from the many other series that are out there in this genre.
If you like Werewolf romance, you'll probably enjoy this book. Would I read a sequel? Probably.
