the best of the later pentangle,
This review is from: In the Round (Audio CD)
This gem was the best effort by the re-united Pentangle or at least 3 of the original 5 members. The songs are varied in mood and range from the tart Play the Game to moodier efforts such as Suil Agrar and She Moved Though the Fair to straight ahead songs from Bert Jansch. Some of this groups later albums have a few good songs but this one is good from start to finish.
Note: I have to agree with another comment that the sonics of the US master are unfortunately not that great. The UK version is said to be better.

Emotional Healing,
By A Customer
This review is from: In the Round (Audio CD)
This CD lectures on independence, loss and acceptance. The melody and beat Pentangle offers sweeps you into countryside festivals and abord drifting trains. I personally found peace, whimsy and strength through each titled song.

Excellent! Superb!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Ok, for the hardcore folkie, you probably won't like this one because of the drums or some such, but the minute I heard this album some years ago when it came out, I immediately took to it. Previous to that I had only listened to their earlier albums Jacqui McShee's voice is in fine form here as is Bert Jansch's guitar and voice, if one likes his voice. I do. Very straight forward unashamed vocals though he isn't a virtuoso in the vocal area. Try this. You just may like it and be pleasantly surprised. Or you may not. Each to his/her own!
