"EMILY"
One of the songs we got a sneak peek of recently on Ryan's ReverbNation profile, but hearing the full song... wow! A song you can sing along with. Track most likely to be played on mainstream radio. First track always sets the mood for the rest of the album.... and this song is such a departure from his Celtic Thunder songs! Some of the notes he hits in this song are incredible. Want to know who this Emily is!! Now we can bug Ryan about that the way we ask Keith about "Lauren"!!

"IN TOO DEEP"
Piano and strings based song, with his simple melody on this gorgeous ballad. His vocals are just stunning. So soft and romantic about his lost love and then finding the strength to move on. You can just picture him sitting in his bed writing these lyrics. The strings are well done and emphasized at all the right times. Ryan co-wrote this song with Kieran Lavery, his friend and fellow musician from his old band Emergency Exit.

"MAKE YOU PROUD"
Loved the sneak peak he gave us of this track, but hearing the whole song is something else. I really liked the lyrics of this song... could be about a relationship or even directed at his family... like "Broken Things," you can take several meanings out of his songs. It is interesting not hearing him emphasize the roughness quality to his voice (the way he sometimes does on the CT songs) on all the tracks, but especially in this song... Loved the mix of percussion, piano, guitars and other instruments on his uptempo song. Definitely a lively song to sing along to.

"HEAVEN BOUND"
Shocking song from Ryan. Very brave of him to include this on his solo debut with the sensitive material. You will be crying by the end of this song -- you've been warned. Hopefully not autobiographical...

In his debut album, Ryan Kelly, known before this as Celtic Thunder's "bad boy," shows fans the man behind that little fiction. These songs paint a full-color, 3-dimensional portrait of a living, breathing soul, filled with emotion, complexity, spiritual depth, and playfulness. He's stepping out of that "dark destroyer" shadow into the light, and the sight is beautiful. Fans of Ryan's Celtic Thunder persona will be stunned at the revelation, and ultimately delighted that we came along for this ride. If you like Celtic Thunder, you will LOVE "In Time" and agree with Ryan's fans that getting this music was certainly worth the wait.

"Ride On" indeed, Mr. Kelly!

Like others, I have been a fan of Celtic Thunder, and have wanted to be supportive of whatever the group or its members produce. It was primarily for that reason that I bought In Time. Although I am a fan of Ryan Kelly, I didn't have major expectations for Ryan's first album. When I listened to it, though, I was amazed at the meaningfulness and purpose of each song, the variety, the music, and the sound. I don't know if the songs are autobiographical, but together they show a sophisticated and deep person who can draw listeners into experiences and emotions that spark memories and curiosity. I immediately wanted to know the next chapter of each story. I don't always like "story" songs, but I am always drawn to songs that have meaning. In this case, I liked each song. Before Celtic Thunder, I would listen to music and sometimes like a few tracks from an album, but with Celtic Thunder, and now with Ryan Kelly's In Time, I realized that I like each part and the whole thing. Well worth the price.

I don't usually write reviews for things anywhere, but I can not say enough good things about this CD. I have to also say that Ryan Kelly is my favorite member of Celtic Thunder and I was eagerly waiting for his first solo CD and boy I was not disappointed. From Start to finish I am impressed by this man's voice and the amount of emotion.

Emily is my least favorite track, not to say I don't like it a lot, it just doesnt touch me as the others do

In Too Deep, what else can I say but he takes you there, to the depths where no one wants to be, and lets you feel what it is like to have to dig yourself out again

Heaven Bound is diffcult to describe in a few words. When I first heard this song I knew Ryan Kelly was as special as I thought. There are not many artists who can sing about this subject and not leave the listener depressed, but somehow it has become one of my favorite tracks.

Broken Things is amazing and emotion filled and is in a place where it fits so well.

Not Far Apart is by far my favorite song on the CD. For anyone who has lost family and friends and gets depressed around this holiday season, this song will be a godsend. Once again Ryan's vocals are amazing.

The Village that They call "The Moy" takes us all home to Ryan's beloved Ireland and to our homwtowns as well.

Exactly what I would expect from Ryan Kelly. Shows different facets of his musical abilities apart from what we've seen on Celtic Thunder.
