What began as me wanting to follow up on those characters turned into an enjoyable read for its own sake.

Gwendolyne Price is a librarian. They most action she has gotten in a long time has been from reading books. Recently Gwen has started receiving explicit, naughty notes and the only clue Gwen has is that they are signed by someone named Nemesis. The information in these notes are so raunchy that they make Gwen blush, it's as if Nemesis knows all of Gwen's desires. Will this game of cat and mouse get to be too much for Gwen or can she work up the nerves to meet Nemesis face to face?

Nemesis knows how to make even the quietest of women become a bad girl like Gwen. Gwen was one lucky lady to receive sex notes from Nemesis. Any guy who can make a woman blush from reading a note has got to be good looking and talented. Every time I start a Portia Da Costa book I finish it in a matter of hours. The stories are that good.

As usual In Too Deep oozes so much sex appeal that it will have you yearning for more. I never have to look any farther then a Portia Da Costa book to get me in the mood. Portia Da Costa in my opinion is the queen of erotica. This is one author you will find yourself coming back to her books over and over again for a very long time.

This simply written erotic tale starts with a librarian, Gwendolyne. She hasn't been with a man in a long while, so when she starts receiving mysterious missives detailing explicit, sexy things the writer wants to do with her, she is more than intrigued. She is turned on and discovering things about herself she never knew. But who is the writer who signs his letters as Nemesis? When she finally meets the man behind the letters, the sex is even better than she dreamed.

In Too Deep is hot , hot, and even hotter. If the letters don't get you going, the sex when they finally meet will. There's not a single page that doesn't ooze passionate sex. If you are looking for a hot read, you will definitely find it here.

I really enjoyed this book. I like the way Portia writes, and the language she uses is intelligent and skillfully intimate.
I couldn't put this book down, I loved Nemesis & Daniel, and the way we were kept guessing.
Would definitely recommend.

Gwendolynne Price has always been exactly what she appeared to be - a rather straight-laced, boring and slightly overweight librarian. But, when she finds herself on the receiving end of a group of erotic letters from a secret admirer, she is soon enthralled. There's a rather handsome professor who is doing research at the library - could he possibly be her romantic pen-pal? One way or another, Gwendolynne is going to start on the adventure of her life...and enjoy every moment of it!

This is my second Portia Da Costa book (my first one being Suite Seventeen), and I must say that her writing is delicious! The story itself is very good, and very romantic. Gwendolynne never acts stupidly or dangerously, but like an intelligent woman who finds herself falling in lust and in love simultaneously. I like the characters of both Gwendolynne and Professor Daniel Brewster, and the sex is hot and yet never over the top.

It's another great book by Ms. Da Costa, and I loved every minute of it!

By the way, thought the back cover gives her name as Gwendolyne (one "n") throughout the book her name is given as Gwendolynne. An interesting spelling. :-)

I was drawn to this book for the glimpses of Naughty Mr. Stone, Miss Lewis, Valentino and Annie Conroy from the previous Portia Da Costa books I'd read, Entertaining Mr. Stone and Suite Seventeen. What began as me wanting to follow up on those characters turned into an enjoyable read for its own sake. I was appreciative of the herione being more on the Rubenesque side of things and still attracting the best man for her, which does happen in real life. I'm living proof! Many outwardly shy quiet plumpers have a seething sexy side to them and the hidden mysterious Nemisis brings that out in her in full bloom and womanly beauty. Like the other In Too Deep reviewer, I agree that a Portia Da Costa Erotica book is not put-down-able...clear the weekend you will want to immerse yourself in it and do nothing else. Then you will be wanting to wear next to nothing else and then play out those hot scenes, alone or with a partner. Ha. Seriously, Miss Portia's hot books more than get you in the mood, they put you in a good cheery mood over all and make you see the hot side of things and all of the sexy possiblities in life. Why just today a dark stranger winked at me at the Post Office and my mind wheeled off as if I were the ample herione Gwen in In Too Deep and even with no actual follow through from me, the fantasy is nice and real and good enough to liven up any dull day. And by the way, I still have not quite stopped laughing over the screamingly funny couch scene in the basement of the Library. In Too Deep, your'e too good and dearest Miss Portia, you continue to be too much!

The book is more realistic than many other love stories (the heroine is a bit plus sized) but definitely enflames the imagination. I enjoyed it overall but think $10 was too much to pay for it. $5 or less, it would be worth it.
