Good deal, lots of info,
By Carol Ann "CarolsCreative" (Missouri) - See all my reviews

I found this book really helpful, even covered some things the others didn't. I like that the guy who wrote it is a real designer, he knows whats important in real situations, not just hypothetical design ideas. It was easy following the instructions, doing it myself. A good deal.

This is a fantastic resource when you need to review something quickly. For those new to InDesign, it is a great companion to the book, Adobe InDesign CS2 HOT. The author has written a very good course and the book is logically laid out.

Great instructional guide,
By Valerie N. "Valerie" (St. Petersburg, Florida) - See all my reviews

Solid instructional guide. As a beginning InDesign user, I found it to be hands-on and practical. If you follow his step by step instructions, you shouldn't have too much difficulty learning the program. Having pretty simple instructions with lots of support graphics on each page also helped (though it would have been nicer if the entire book was color). Great tips written in user-friendly language. I would definitely recommend it to any first-time InDesign user.

Ted LoCascio is superb!!! He knows how to offer the content so you do not feel hungry after reading his book. Easy to understand, extremely well planned and presented (well, it is InDesign after all), very methodical and full of tips and shortcuts one might overlook otherwise. I will never look back...the best book so far on InDesign.

It is a Help Book!,
By Mohammed Al Mahri "MDesign" (Kingdom Of Bahrain) - See all my reviews
This review is from: InDesign CS2 at Your Fingertips (Paperback)
This book is focusing mainly on the theory side of the program i.e. discussing what each tool; pallet, menu, etc can do for you. However, the book is missing the important side, which is the practical side i.e. tutorials, projects, etc.
Talking generally, as a beginner to InDesign i did benefit from understanding what the tool can do for me, but I dono how, where and when to use it. I think this book can serve as a reference (OR HELP BOOK). |
