4.0 out of 5 stars Great Home Theater Solution
Quick Delivery, Great Cables Included.
Ordered Thursday night and received the next Tuesday by noon.
For the price you cannot go wrong with this projector. I've used it in a semi-dark living room to play Wii Sports (loads of fun)and in my own, darker living room to watch loads of DVDs and online movies (netflix & HULU). The projection size I get is about 7ft...

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware, yes for the price it's good but it will only last a year

Apparently after searching the internet we found out that this is a common problem and the piece that breaks is very flimsy and is known to break. This review is from: InFocus Play Big IN1 - DLP projector - 500 ANSI lumens - VGA (640 x 480) - 4:3 (Electronics)
We bought this same projector exactly a year ago and the power button just broke. Apparently after searching the internet we found out that this is a common problem and the piece that breaks is very flimsy and is known to break. Unfortunately with no use of the power button the projector is useless. We have figured a way to shove a screwdriver in the hole and sometimes it works and turns on. Wanted to let people know you get what you paid for if you are ok with spending $300 dollars for it to last only a year fine, otherwise be very gentle with the power button when pressing it for longer use. Other than this major issue we have loved it up to this point.

2.0 out of 5 stars Problem with Power Button, January 27, 2010
This review is from: InFocus Play Big IN1 - DLP projector - 500 ANSI lumens - VGA (640 x 480) - 4:3 (Electronics)
After one year of light use my infocus IN1 projector won't turn on anymore. I pressed the power button to turn it on and nothing happened. When I unplug and plug it back in the lamp and hourglass lights flash for a second while the fan spins for the next 5 seconds, then the two lights flash again and everything turns off. I thought this meant the lamp had gone out but we used it very little. It seemed like the problem may be with the power button as it didn't seem to be getting any power and the button felt "mushy". After a very unhelpful call to Infocus support and a search on the internet I found others had the same problem. Evidently the power button easily breaks underneath the cover as it is a flimsy "L" shaped (flawed by design) that bends and weakens at the 90 degree angle preventing a connection with the micro switch underneath. The solution was to remove the power button and use your finger in the hole (at your own risk). Not ideal but functional and better then trashing the whole system. Hope this helps others experiencing the same problem.

I've used it in a semi-dark living room to play Wii Sports (loads of fun)and in my own, darker living room to watch loads of DVDs and online movies (netflix & HULU). The projection size I get is about 7ft diagonal. Landscapes have a little graininess but animation and action scenes look GREAT. The only plus to the more expensive ($800)projector we have at work, besides some improvement in image quality, is a VGA input and keystone controls.

OVERALL a great deal for $300 ($320 w/ expedited shipping)

1.0 out of 5 stars lasts about 6 months, November 5, 2011

This review is from: InFocus Play Big IN1 - DLP projector - 500 ANSI lumens - VGA (640 x 480) - 4:3 (Electronics)
the power button on mine broke in about 5 months, just like other people. 6 months after getting a replacement projector my bulb has burned out. YOU CAN NO LONGER BUY REPLACEMENT BULBS...THE COMPANY DOES NOT MAKE THEM!!! also the company has completely ignored my numerous emails about a new bulb that may be compatible. this is not an old projector, it's about 1 1/2 years since we bought it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Replacement Lamps, June 23, 2010
This review is from: InFocus Play Big IN1 - DLP projector - 500 ANSI lumens - VGA (640 x 480) - 4:3 (Electronics)
I have had this item for about 2 yrs. It has been discontinued by Infocus and replacement lamps are hard to find in the U.S. I am now using it very sparingly until I can track down replacement lamps for it. It would have been nice to know this before I bought it. Also it has no remote which can be a pain sometimes. Video quality is ok but not the greatest.
