I recently completed a procurement analysis in purchasing projectors for the office. For the value range between $400-$500, the InFocus Work Big IN2102EP Projector was a clearcut choice as the one to go with. Turned out to be true. 3.0 out of 5 stars Shipped with defective video cable
I received this product with a defective video cable.

It worked well once I swapped out the cable. Great price.

I would have given the projector five stars if it weren't for the hour or so of trouble-shooting it took to find out they shipped it with a bum cable!

I recently completed a procurement analysis in purchasing projectors for the office. For the value range between $400-$500, the InFocus Work Big IN2102EP Projector was a clearcut choice as the one to go with. Turned out to be true. The brightness is great even with the lights turned on during a presentation. In addition, the 2500 lumens can be had in only a very few projectors at this price range. The unit is a little bigger than desired, but it still is portable and relatively light. Easy to use/connect and a pleasure to look at. Solid choice for any kind of small office/business environment.

This projector provided everything promised. During a bright afternoon I was able to project on a blank wall with no hindrance to anyone's sight. It handled like a dream and the carry case is nice. A great buy for the average needs of power point.

For the cost of this product, you get your moneys worth. I bought it mainly for movie watching but found out that its great for video games. Even with the echo-mode, the image is still very bright at 1800 lumens. Check out the image cuality with the pics i posted, keep in mind that its being shown on a regular wall.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent baseline projector, May 18, 2009
This review is from: InFocus Work Big IN2102EP Projector (Office Product)
This projector gives excellent value for the money. It's bright, the colors more than adequate, and it's ease of use is excellent.

As far as I'm concerned, it's only failing is that it doesn't have a true optical zoon feature; image size is controlled primarily by altering the distance from the projector to the screen. You can do some small size change by toggling between native resolution, standard, widescreen, letterbox. But the primary control for size is still adjusting the distance between the screen and the InFocus.

Other than that, this is excellent.

I do have one recomendation for anyone who is getting this to augment their home entertainment center. Get an audio/video transiever unit. The transmitter would connect to your entertainment center and the reciever would connect to the projector. This would allow you the flexibility of moving the projector anywhere within a 150' radius from your video source, without having to rewire. All you would need to be concerned with is having a power outlet. Radio Shack has one for sale for $99 (Model: 15-126) and is worth every penny.

I took the projector and the reciever out on the patio and and was able to watch movies projected on the outside wall of the house with no reception issues.

4.0 out of 5 stars InFocus IN2102EP, February 14, 2009

The InFocus projector arrived in perfect condition and on time. The only problem was that the remote control was not in the box. The batteries for the remote were included but not the remote. This isn't a major problem as you don't need the remote to operate the projector. Before purchase I debated about buying a unit with higher resolution but settled on the Infocus because of the great price and a good previous experience with this brand. The projected image is very good and the unit is easy to operate. The two-speed fan is a little annoying but not a significant problem. The projector comes with a thinly padded fabric case that should protect the unit from scratches but probably not much more. All in all I'm pleased with the purchase.

The first one I got was not working. Called InFocus and well that did not work out. Amazon was great. I just should have gone through them to begin with. It was so easy and I got a replacement within two days. This one works great!!!

Nice performance; good brightness; easy to operate. Even though a little bit bulky and heavy for current standards it's really worth its price. I'm happy with both the product and Amazon services to deliver the projector on time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good balance of quality and price, July 31, 2009

I chose this unit because the brand has been dependable for me in the past and I didn't want to drop a load of cash. I am, so far, very pleased. The best points of the projector are:

- Easy to use. I just used the enclosed quick start sheet and was on my way in less than 5 minutes.
- It scans itself and picks the correct input (the active one).
- The 1280x800 resolution of my Lenovo laptop was scaled to 1024x768 automatically by the PC.
- It has a zoom dial on the lens to slightly tweak the picture size.
- It has a keystone adjustment to compensate for projector angle.
- It kept the colors fairly true. I have seen many projectors that projected colors that were nowhere near what was showing on the laptop.
- Adjustments are convenient from the controls on top of the unit plus it has a remote.

The drawbacks are:

- It is a large unit
- The carrying case is not padded and does not have a shoulder strap - just a padded carrying handle

I did not knock off any stars because these are minor drawbacks for the price.

InFocus is the original "projector" which all other companies copy. This unit is of top quality and lumens and the price is better here than anywhere with free shipping. Great Product Great Price!
