5.0 out of 5 stars I like it!
Hey, I really enjoy my nicer dicer, and I WOULD buy it again. One hint for using it, that they don't emphasize enough in the manual, but that I picked up on the infomercial: You HAVE to push quickly and firmly on the bowl right over the blades, and not just on the long handle that seems to be the intuitive place to push. This absolutely keeps the blades from bending...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad
Works great cutting potatos into french fries and chopping onions into tiny pieces. Horrible with tomatoes; it doesn't cut through the peel well at all and left my counter soaked with juice. Worked well on apples. You have to cut the pieces small enough to fit under the blade, and by then you might as well keep cutting it with the knife. I bought it to save time during...

I bought it to save time during "taco night" but found it to get in the way more than anything and ended up tossing it aside while I chopped the rest by hand. If you only want it for potatos and onions then it's worth it. Other than that, don't waste your time or money.

This absolutely keeps the blades from bending and producing mush. A quick force, also cuts more cleanly than a slow one. Keeping peel sides down prevents mush, too. I love it enough, just for making fast, perfect, tiny dices of onion and peppers. The smaller the slices of onion you put in, the finer your dice. It is the dicing part that makes my eyes tear, so I don't mind making a few slices first and having the dicer make the perfect tiny cubes all self-contained in the bowl. My tomato dices are better than I can produce with a sharp knife. Be realistic, it IS a tomato. Skin side down, smaller slices than an entire half, and quick force on the bowl AND handle. No complaints on this product from me, and I am the first person to be judgemental when a gadget doesn't live up to my expectations, lol. I have a graveyard of gadgets I hate. This one is a keeper!

1.0 out of 5 stars very hard to work with it, March 4, 2006
This review is from: InGenius Nicer Dicer, As Seen On TV, THE PERFECT TOOL FOR EVERY MEAL YOU PREPARE!
i bought this item and 8 different kinds of onion cutters after testing all of them many times
i would advice every one who want to dice onions to buy the "alligator onion cutter" this is the only brand that really does the job right because of their good blades dont waste your money on any other brand

3.0 out of 5 stars Not sure it does everything the ad says, April 2, 2006

I've been testing the NicerDicer in my kitchen. Perhaps I'm missing something, but the manual says that one top section is for small dicing and julienne, and the other is for small dicing and julienne. For me, the small blade ONLY dices and the large blade ONLY juliennes. How might I get this thing to produce a large dice or a small julienne? I can't figure it out.

I'm happy with the product's ease of use, but think the infomercial overpromises.

2.0 out of 5 stars TOMATO FAILURE!, July 26, 2006
This review is from: InGenius Nicer Dicer, As Seen On TV, THE PERFECT TOOL FOR EVERY MEAL YOU PREPARE!
I had high hopes for the Nicer Dicer, but after trying 2 of them
and returning them both, I quit wanting this product. Why? It doesn't "dice" tomatoes, it SQUASHES them, and they are turned into mush, not even going through the slicing blades.

I called Customer service and was told the buy hard tomatoes. I did that and that was the last straw...no change, no diced tomatoes! Phooey!

Disappointed in Florida

This was the WORST kitchen "gadget" I have purchased. The blades were not sharp enough to cut and all I got when I tried to cut was a smashed up blob! I would have given it a -0 rating in I could. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!

I owned at least 4 vegetable/onion choppers. This one is by far the best. The other ones broke after couple of months. It is also very easy to clean.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wouldn't be without one!, January 10, 2009
This review is from: InGenius Nicer Dicer, As Seen On TV, THE PERFECT TOOL FOR EVERY MEAL YOU PREPARE!
I have had my Nicer Dicer since they first came out. I wouldn't be without one and am now thinking about getting another one in case something happens to this one. I use mine for all types of veggies and fruits........onions, peppers, CELERY, potatoes, carrots (the minis), cucumbers, radishes, apples, cranberries, even nuts. The only reason I don't list tomatoes is that when I make salsa I use the canned diced tomatoes. Maybe I didn't prepared them right when I tried them with the Nicer Dicer, though. I find it saves me so much time even if I do have to slightly prepare the items to be diced. I quarter larger onions and cut peppers and celery to fit. Just be sure your items fit on the disc surface and don't "hang over" or else the top part can't come down as it should. I wouldn't try any other dicer because I am SOLD on this one!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Malfunctioned after a few uses, July 24, 2007

This is great for cutting potatoes. However, I use onions in several meals a week, and after only a few uses, one of the blades started coming loose, bending, and cutting into the plastic cutting board below. I was no longer able to effectively use my Nicer Dicer.
However, the booklet says it has a 5 year warrantee. So I sent it back to the company.
WARNING - if you do not buy the Nicer Dicer directly from the Nicer Dicer company, they will NOT honor the warrantee.
The quality of the product does not match the price! Buyer Beware!
