Works as expected. One unexpected con: The instant Hot continues for longer than I expected. Because the manufacturers want the pipe to fill up completely with fresh hot water, rather than start with cool water already in the pipe, it also continues expelling hot water after the lever is released. My old unit continued for about 2 seconds. This one continues for about 5 seconds. I can live with that.

This dispenser is the fourth one we have purchased over the years. Hopefully, InSinkErator is finally getting it right. The first one had many plastic parts which eventually broke. The second was better but still did not hold up. Our last one was the best available at the time and made all of metal but still flimsy although ours lasted longer than many others according to the reviews. This model is sturdier and the working parts seem to be more solid. Because we have become addicted to using this dispenser for its convenience and saving of time we knew we could not do without it. Ironically, the price was less than for the poorer models. So far, so good.

After years of clutter around the sink area with separate taps for the hot water dispenser and filtered cold water this combined tap is wonderful and gives the kitchen that extra streamlined look.
Another plus is that the cold water handle will stay open to fill those jugs of water.
The one thing I would say has to do with the way the product description reads.
The description does not immediately make it obvious that this is only a tap not the dispenser, the dispensers are sold separately.
Otherwise a great product for the average handyperson.

When I was in my late twenties I bought a house that had one of these in the kitchen. I had never seen one before. Well, after a month with it, I was hooked and have installed them (yes, myself) in every house I've lived in since. I bought this water dispenser for a bar sink off the master bedroom. I drink a lot of herb tea and flavored coffee mixes. I have one in the kitchen and wouldn't have a kitchen without one. Anytime a recipe calls for boiling water I just fill up my measuring cup and I'm done---no heating on the stove top or microwaving. If you are a tea tottler, you must own one of these.

The faucet arrived on time but there is an area of about 1/32" square on the tip of the spout which has the paint chipped off. Amazon offered 20% discount if I want to keep the faucet. Amazon was very prompt and helpfull. I aslo called Insinkerator to see if they have the tip of the spout. Needless to say, their service is terrible and ofcourse they don't have the part! The valve of my previous faucet got stuck (sound familiar?). I just got the new stainless steel tank so I'm stuck with Insink for the time being. I hope it will last a bit to have time for someone else come up with a better product. I mark 3 stars because of the Insink product.

This is an awesome dispenser. Now I have the option of hot or room temp. water.
Works great, the only con I have is, it didn't come with a (Y) connector, but not a big deal, went to Home Depot and got a 1/4"(T) made the connections and it works.

Received the Insinkerator in less time than expected. It came in excellent condition. The price was better than anywhere else.
