5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
I was having trouble with other sink stoppers. I tried three different kinds and nothing would hold the water in my sink. My husband was about to completely replace the entire drain unit until I found this. Thank goodness. Now I have no trouble filling the sink up. It is a little difficult to remove it - only because I really have to pull hard sometimes but it is...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice stopper but not meant to actual STOP water!
I recently purchased this stainless stopper by In-Sink-Erator and was somewhat disappointed that it did not fit snuggly into In-Sink-Erator sink/disposal rim though the product claims to do so. (I do have an In-Sink-Erator disposal and water began to slowly drain immediately) When I called In-Sink-Erator directly, I spoke to two different customer service reps that stated...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice stopper but not meant to actual STOP water!, August 9, 2007
I recently purchased this stainless stopper by In-Sink-Erator and was somewhat disappointed that it did not fit snuggly into In-Sink-Erator sink/disposal rim though the product claims to do so. (I do have an In-Sink-Erator disposal and water began to slowly drain immediately) When I called In-Sink-Erator directly, I spoke to two different customer service reps that stated the stopper is NOT meant to stop water for any sustained periods of time, only "temporarily" and apologized that the packaging said so. I have had luck in the past with this item but not all In-Sink-Erator sinks/drains will work with this product. Most disappointing. What good is a stopper if it does not stop?

My husband was about to completely replace the entire drain unit until I found this. Thank goodness. Now I have no trouble filling the sink up. It is a little difficult to remove it - only because I really have to pull hard sometimes but it is completely worth it to not fill up my sink three times to wash a sink full of dishes. Yeah!

Paid $170 for new insinkerator disposal and guess what the stopper doesn't stop. It leaks. Manufacturer says oops it isn't to stop water it slows the water. Their advice " Duh, I don't know." Outrageous

5.0 out of 5 stars This little gadget Really works!, September 8, 2008

I have an InSinkErator food grinder in my sink. Until this product I couldn't keep water for washing dishes. I was constantly dragging out the plastic dish pan. This is so simple. Just gently push it into the drain ( Top side up) and it makes a tight seal that holds water.

1.0 out of 5 stars Are all Insinkerator disposers the same?, November 19, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After reading the previous three reviews and seeing a 5 star rating, I decided this stopper would be the answer to all my problems. In November, 2008, I installed at 5/8 hp Insinkerator garbage disposal. Like those who have gone before me, I was surprised to find no stopper included with the unit. Off to Lowe's to purchase a nifty little stainless steel stopper. Come home, put it in the sink, fill the sink with water, turn my back to get dirty dishes, and wow! Where did the water go? Call Insinkerator and ask what I should use to prevent the water from flowing from the sink and I was told by Insinkerator that they do not design their stoppers to stop water! ????????????? (go figure!) So I decided to research online what other creative customers of Insinkerator were using to aleviate this problem.

Reading the reviews of this stopper, it was the only stopper reviewed that said it actually worked. One review even said it was difficult to remove, which said to me that was because the seal worked so well. So I spent my $6.99 for the stopper plus $5.11 to ship it and expected all my dreams to come true and I would be able to wash dishes without having to refill the sink every 2 1/2 minutes.

Unless I have a new brand of Insinkerator that has a different size opening, this stopper DOES NOT work any better than any of the Insinkerator brand stoppers. It actually is the exact same size as the Insinkerator stopper that I purchased at Lowe's. I vehemently advise against purchasing this, it simply doesn't do the job.

Not to much to say. Price was better than the local Home Depot. High quality which is what I expected.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks great, but ......., February 20, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I should have listened to other reviews I read. The stopper doesn't seal well enough to keep the water from running out of the disposal side of the sink. Works beautifully on the other side, though. In comparison, the less expensive InSinkErator STP-PL Plastic Sink Stopper, black, that I also purchased at the same time, is a much better buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars sink stopper, February 12, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was worried that this wouldn't fit but apparently all InSinkErators fit? I ordered a new one cause my last one was gross (and who knows how old) This one looks like it wont be able to get as gross since the button inside isn't as small to hold mold and what not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Sink Stopper, January 18, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this to use in my apartment sink (not sure the brand, but there's no garbage disposal). Anyway, it works just fine. I needed it so I could bathe my toddler daughter and haven't had any problems with a slow leak.
