The company shipped the heater quickly, well packaged via UPS. Easy to intall, my wife did it!. We had another one from a different maker that developed a leak after about three years. We have very acid water and I am hopeing the bronze tank in the in-sink-erator heater will last longer. Won't know for at least three years. Unit does the job, lots of hot water at our kitchen sink and dishwasher.

I installed this water heater to reduce the wait for hot water at the kitchen sink. I put it under the counter in an unused corner cabinet. The run to the faucet is about 3 feet. The unit works exactly as hoped for, hot water almost instantly. Washing hands and rinsing dishes is so much easier. A Kill O Watt meter shows 3 watt use when inactive and 1350 watts when heating. Cost at 14 cents a kw projected over a year is $54.This is a projection after the meter was on for four days. I am very satisfied with this purchase so far.

Before I installed this heater it took 2.5 gal to get hot water to the sink. I installed it in line with the hot water supplying it. Now we have instant hot water. So far so good.

We bought this as a point of use heater and it is performing well after a month of use. However, the flimsy construction of the outer skin and the annoying design that requires a front panel to be removed in order to adjust the temperature setting was quite a disappointment.

This is the fourth replacement I have purchased on this item over the last 10 years or so. At most the units last about 2 years. Then, the heating element arcs and the circuit breaker breaks. Given the low price on Amazon, it's just easier and less costly to buy a new one, than fix the old one. 12-month warranty really does not help much, since failure occurs some time in the second or third year.
The unit heats water fine. I use it to heat to water in the kitchen sink, since the kitchen is a long run from the house's central water heater. Given the repeated failures, I would try another brand if I was starting anew. But this model hasn't changed in a long time. It fits my available undersink space, the hook-up is arranged for this model. With each replacement I keep hoping the manufacturer will lengthen the life of the heater's components. So far, hasn't happened. Maybe this one is the trick.

I installed two W152s (kitchen and MBath) in 2002. In 2010 they both failed, due to corrosion of the coils. The symptoms are higher current draw until they blow the fuses. I tried to repair one and then decided to replace it. Hot water flows again. I am going to try again on the second unit. Summary: they work well for a few years in average water. Definitely not a lifetime installation unless you run deionized water.

This is designed for those homes where hot water is slow to get to the faucet and it puts hot water there directly until it can get there. I was having an outside kitchen put in and had a 2 faucet sink. Decided to put this into the kitchen to give me hot water and cold water from the one cold line. It works great. I have it on a switch so I can turn it on when needed and it heats up pretty fast. I can't do a lot with only 2 and 1/2 gallons but it does what I need it to do.
