Not a safe jogger!,
By L. M (NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: InStep Run Around LTD 2 Double Jogging Stroller (Red/Grey) (Sports)
The first stroller I bought broke in half while on a jog with my 2 children.I had only had the stroller 2 months. They got scrapped up. I called the company they have never heard of this before and they sent me a new stroller which broke again the first time I used it. The kids were not hurt this time but I will call the company and request my money back. I would never put my kids in this jogger again. I regret not getting a more expensive jogger(you get what you pay for)and when it comes to my kids saftey is first.I would not recomend this stroller to anyone!

50 pound limit,

Please note that despite what the Amazon description lists, this stoller is only for children up to 50 pounds. I ordered one and discovered this discrepency. It is a decent stroller for the price, but the seats are not cushioned at all which is a disappointment. I have a tall 43 pound 3 year old and a 6 month old. It will do the job for this summer which is what I needed, but already the 3 year old's head is at the sun canopy.

Broke in half after 3 weeks!,

The exact same thing happened to me as sounds like happened to many others. After using it for a few weeks, my wife was walking with our two girls to the library, and the joint where the stroller folds broke. It uses two cheap plastic fittings as the integral joints, which obviously don't hold up. We were not doing anything crazy with the stroller, just jogging and walking with it.The good news is that I called InStep, and they sent us a new one. However, we have had the replacement one for about two weeks, and it's already starting to bend and flex. I'm giving it about another two weeks before this one breaks and I'm calling InStep again for another replacement. Save yourself the time and money and look elsewhere.

I searched for this item online for a few weeks. So, I did my research. And boy was this the biggest bargain. I loved the price and that it wasn't used. I have used this quite a bit. I have a 1yr old girl and I babysit a 1yr old boy. They love riding in it. I love it because it is easy for me to walk my baby fat off. It has a smooth ride. And I like the hand brake at the top of the rail. For when you are going down even a small hill, it definitely comes in handy. For anyone that is trying to lose that baby weight-this is awesome. The only bad thing I would say, is that after compacting it down to get in our van as much as I would love to keep it stored in the vehicle, I just don't have the room, because i does take up a lot of room, but from folding it down and setting it back up after several times, the side where it used to connect to stand it back up and lock it into place is now becoming harder to lock into place. But I guess you get what you pay for - this was the cheapest place to get this kind of stroller.

Buyers Beware,

We bought this a couple of months ago. We took to a trip last week and the springs on both sides broke. Now we can't even flip it up to push it or even sit the kids in place because it collapses. We ended up lugging it around while my husband and I still had to hold our two kids in tow. It was painful navigating through the airport. I'm now having to deal with the manufacturer who wants pictures, statements, dates on the item, receipts, etc. I'm thinking about bringing it to the place I bought it from and get a full refund instead of getting a new one of the same item from the manufacturer. I'd much rather buy a different brand even at a higher price.

Dangerous Design,
This review is from: InStep Run Around LTD 2 Double Jogging Stroller (Red/Grey) (Sports)
As I have now read our problem doesn't seem to be unique. While on vacation our stroller collapsed (just as everyone has described) and instictively you try to quickly pop it back in place. Unbeknownst to me our 3 year old daughter's finger had slipped into the locking mechanism (when the stroller started to collapse she grabbed the sides out of fear) and when I went to close it I almost ripped the tip of her finger off. After 6 hours in the emergency room, half dozen stitches, and a ruined vacation we will be contacting InStep, through our family attorney!DO NOT BUY THIS STROLLER...... I can only imagine if my wife had been jogging when this happened.

I bought this stroller before anyone had reviewed it, back in May 2008. For the first year it was great, and I thought the price very reasonable (it was only about $154 then). However, when the stroller stops working, it happens suddenly and can't be fixed. We had the same problem as all the other reviewers: the joints where the frame folds suddenly no longer work, causing the stroller to collapse without warning. I think the only reason it didn't happen sooner to our stroller is that we rarely folded it, probably only about 10 times since we bought it, maybe fewer.I called customer service at In Step, and they said the locking mechanism cannot be fixed because it is part of the frame, and they don't have replacement parts for the frames. They may give us a replacement stroller, but it seems useless to me since it will undoubtedly have the same locking mechanism. I am awaiting word from In Step regarding this issue, and they wanted all sorts of documentation: proof of purchase, purchase date, a written description of the problem, and digital photos of the broken locking mechanism. The customer service person was polite, but SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. Spend more and buy something that won't collapse under your kids while you are running!

Not too happy,
This review is from: InStep Run Around LTD 2 Double Jogging Stroller (Red/Grey) (Sports)
I thought this was a great bargain. However, I used it maybe five times and it broke in half while I was on a jog/walk. Thank God it broke when I was walking!!!! I had nothing but problems with this stroller. The front wheel wouln't hold air, my one year old could get the wheel off, on and on.Then it broke in half and I had to return it. I thought the other stuff was just because it was a bargain stroller, but I would NOT consider this a bargain. I will buy a more expensive stroller next time for my kids' safety. So sad this didn't work out.

No Complaints Here...,

I have never had a double stroller and don't have anything to compare to, but I am really liking this one so far. It rides very smoothly and my 2.5 year old and my 10 month old ride in it just fine. It's a good workout for working off the baby fat, I agree! I have no complaints for the cost.
