This lavish softcover art collection contains a decade's worth of illustrator Michael Manning's perversely beautiful portraits. Dominatrixes, dancers, fetish models, contortionists, and other real-life muses are reinterpreted through the artist's elegant line work as powerful and profoundly sensual beings who give free reign to their erotic desires.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Simultaneously lyrical, sinister and bizarre, Manning's works are high-style exercises in controlled sexual tension with a distinctly modern edge... Inamorata is both a superb introduction to the artist's vision and his most bravura work to date." -- Ernest Greene, Taboo

5.0 out of 5 stars Manning's Ultimate, February 13, 2007

If you enjoy Michael Manning's art, and are not rattled by very mature subject matter, you'll like this book.
In previous books, Manning toed the line of decency- in this one, he not only crosses it, he urinates on it.
For fans of very edgy, very naughty erotc art, you can't do much better than this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly Stunning artwork, February 24, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Michael Manning is one of the most brilliant fetish artist if not most brilliant artist of this age. As an artist myself, i can appreciate the beautifully flowing erotic lines, the stunning composition, and the eroticism that flows from every sensuous image. The stark contrast of his mostly black and white ink renderings leap from the page without appearing cartoony, and yet seem otherworldly. If there is an artist whom I'd aspire to be like, it is this brilliant artist whom not only illustrates the most wickedly sensuous fetish imagery, but whom is himself involved in the bdsm lifestyle. If there were a slave I'd most like to emulate, it would surely be similar to one of his creations.

His artwork is not for the narrow minded but rather for those in the fetish lifestyle. Many of his images deal with transgender and involve fetishes that go to the edges and beyond of what society typically deems acceptable. Personally however, i'd have no problem sitting his book on a coffee table next to books of other artist masters. i can not give a high enough recommendation for his artwork. It is an inspiration to future fetish artist.
