Oh please. This book has so many fake reviews I can't take it. They all sound like they written by the same person. Hmmm .... wonder who that could be?????

Try Brandi Glanville's book for a good read. Cat was one of the most vicious women in the Real Housewives series ever, and I think we all sympathized with h Ommaney when he left. She was an embarrassment to be around, and an unrelenting nag. Charming lady.

Great story, Cat!

I like the author's persona and will probably read another ; however, the hard partying is a worry. Feel sorry for her children.

Honestly...all these positive reviews are fake, none of the writers have reviewed anything else. The book is self pitying, poorly written drivel, no wonder the author had to pay to publish it, any real publisher would have laughed in her botoxed face.

Have you ever read a book where you felt like the author was actually sitting down and chatting with you? If not then you will with this wonderfully candid sequel to Inbox Full "The Gift". Cat writes with such explicit frankness, opening her life to us "the readers" with no holds barred. This is a vivid account of someone who fell deeply, madly in love, uprooting her two children to strike out a different life with the "man" of her dreams in America, winds up on a national TV Reality Show and watches her life disintegrate before her eyes. She bares all, the laughter, the pain, the frustrations and humiliations. She is brave, especially when she writes about how madness became her Prince Charmings alter-ego and the emotional abuse she endured while living in a hellish marriage. Through it all she kept up the strength and resilience to be a wonderful mother, protecting her girls, providing laughter to them during times of complete insanity (and it is evident that she has raised two lovely young ladies by the piece they write in the end) a fabulous friend and all while maintaining her own sanity. This is a remarkable book which tells an extraordinary story of love, friendship and heartbreak, and how she survived it all. I hope she continues to write more of her journeys as she goes through life and finds her happily ever after! I would have given this 10 stars, but Amazon only allowed me 5 :)

Just finished reading "Inbox Full Part II.".called "The Gift"..could never figure out what the "Gift" was..Was it a full love affair with the "perfect man"..that turned out badly..a story worthy of a Lifetime Movie..Granted that Cat Ommonney (Ashley) went through some really bad times, that according to her, she didn't deserve..being a "good mother and wife...even her daughters agree with that. Charles sounds like a cad..and he had some problems with mental problems, plus perhaps drugs? Cat really got a raw deal on this, being stuck with paying for things when he lost his job at the White House, and her tremendous medical bill because he neglected to put his family on his insurance. In the meantime she was invited to join the cast of "The Housewives of DC", and busy with that..but you have to watch that show, to know there is a difficult side of Cat..her horrible diatribes to various people..rudeness..someone said that "she was the rudest person they had ever met".. She can completely annialate a person with her rhetoric, and I saw that happen to Charles on the show too. Whatever happened to that photographic session with Charles when he was taking these wonderful pictures of Cat..In the book, she mentions that he didn't show up for the session, yet I saw it myself on the "Housewives" show. So, dear Cat has a mean streak about her, and can completely ruin someone she has just met..so I would say the book is pretty one-sided..we never hear what she did or said to antagonize Charles to make him do some of the things he did..not that we exonerate him at all for his actions..because he brought her and her children to the States and then abandoned them physically, mentally and financially. But a lot of Cat's problems she brings on herself..she is very difficult to get along with.Read more ›

Hello all! This is Molly Sherry writing on my husbands Amazon Account. Ms. Ashley/Ommanney's second book was stellar. I sat down and read it in two goes. Very well written with a fascinating albiet heartbreaking storyline. To say that "Now it all makes sense" is quite an understatement! Ms. Ommanney shot the ill fated Bravo DC Housewives show under awful personal circumstances. Her husband Charles is dealing (not well) with some sort of mental illness and also pulls disappearing acts on a whim. Cat is left to manage a household and to raise to lovely daughters as essentially a single parent. Being on Reality TV is a story unto itself! Without giving anything away I would strongly urge you to read her first book prior to reading The Gift. Both are equally well written. Cat's story is an inspiration and along her journey we meet a lot a wonderful people, especially Cats friend from the show Lynda. These two books together would make a great movie! BravoCat!! xox

Loved this book. Couldn't put it down. Cat's humor and strength through what must have been a horrible time in her life is an inspiration. I highly recommend this book!
