I can't recall exactly what I paid for he subscription, but it was some ridiculously low price for 12 months. Has a good range of articles and some good tips for small business owners. Usual assortment of ads, but for the price, you can't argue :)

This is the best magazine for entrepreneurs. It's packed with useful ideas and inspiration. I especially like their profiles of successful entrepreneurs -- and have learned many practical lessons from these.

"Inc." advertises itself as "The Handbook of the American Entrepreneur." Each issue offers anecdotal lessons from business leaders across a broad spectrum of industries and topics. Anyone looking for research or in depth analysis will generally be disappointed. I generally read it cover to cover to be sure that I do not miss anything of value. I find it a worthwhile read for times which call for light intellectual challenge. One might call it the "People" of entrepreneurs.

"Inc Magazine" is a highly inspirational magazine to own. The stories feature various people that have successful professional lives and carved out their callings. For instance the February 2012 issue contains uplifting stories such as these:
Profile on Vici Beauty School
Profile on Rapper 50 Cent's latest business ventures
Jennifer Hyman: She plays an integral role in the company Rent the Runway (has over 1.5 million customers and sixty-two employees).
"Inc. Magazine" is great for those who love to read inspirational magazines.

I used to buy an occasional magazine from Inc and then some how I got hooked on Norm Brodsky's selling his company series which offered more than a step by step process. His contributions to Inc each month is worth the subscription.

Inc contains valuable resources such as The Goods which includes Business Travel, Work Play info, Strategy which goes over a particular business problem and offers solutions as the 'Experts Weigh In' , and Entrepreneurs Business stories. This magazine understands that your time is valuable and it keeps in touch of what is going on NOW outside the Corporate World.

I first read this magazine at a barber shop while I waited to get a haircut and I asked the owner if I could take it home with me. It is very insightful and has great stories. Also it provides a little more in depth analysis than your usual "meet our CEO of the month" kind of article. Great read if you are an entrepreneur or if you like reading current business trends and upcoming products.

I'm satisfied with this magazine because it has some news and articles in an easy reading style format that is understandable for someone who doesn't know much about businesses. I'm sure it'll be useful for small business owners just to look through and keep themselves updated on what's going on. But if you're hard core, you'll need something else to read.

This magazine is nearly all fluff. Most articles tell you nothing about the details of how a company began, nor do they provide useful, practical tips for the reader.

Instead, the majority of the content focuses on the superficial aspects of each person/company. They recently changed the layout, and its awful. It's hard to find specific articles quickly, because the ads blend in with the rest of the magazine.

Give Inc. a pass.
