Inca Town Review,

Inca Town is a beautifully illustrated book - and not just for kids either, although it is a great teaching tool for children. Although all of the drawings are wonderful, the most impressive are the cutaways of Inca homes and temples depicting what probably went on inside these buildings. I'm less impressed with some of the "history" but, hey, you can't always have everything. The book is worth the price for sure! - Tiki

This is one of my favorite books for young readers about Inca life. It has the best illustrations of any I have read yet--I felt as if I was living in Inca times. The deptictions of the palace, fortress, temples, rope bridges, farm and family home were all fascinating. Especially fun were the people's costumes, as the Incas are well known for their gorgeous fabrics and headdresses.
The time-traveler's guide was fun--a bit tongue-in-cheek, but historically accurate. |
