This item was introduced to me by a physical therapist following my knee surgery. The minute I tried it, I realized I had A LOT of work to do if I wanted to be limber, balanced and active the older I get. Mostly my job (writer) involves sitting at a desk. Now that I have my balance disc, when I take breaks I stand on this and get my workout without leaving my office. I recommend this disc to anyone who wants to improve their balance. I also use it in my chair. It gives a core workout while I'm sitting there writing stories.

Similar models have a hole to pump in more air if needed. This one does not, although it looks like it won't deflait.
Shipped very quickly, was impressed.

Cheap product that, when in a pair, can be very useful for functional/balance training. You can train with one disc, but when standing, do you use two legs or one leg? Try to make the training as close to its functional counterpart as possible. A bosu ball is real helpful as well, but consider that a barbell, and these discs as dumbbells. The discs allow you to isolate each leg separately form the other. Great product!
