Bought this same fan at WalMart for $6. Doesnt move a lot of air, but it works ok if you can put it around 12 inches from your face. Its pretty quiet, although mine makes a slight whirring sound at certain angles.

I got this for five bucks on sale at a local store, in a black finish, but I see there is white and blue on amazon. I have had no issues with this fan with a month of almost non-stop use (on for 24+ hours at a time in streaches). Spins reasonably fast and moves air well enough that I'm able to sit it to the side of my computer monitor on my desk and move air around me as I'm at the computer. I use it in a large office that has a window air-conditioner that is loud and I have to shut it off to talk reasonably well on phone calls ect, and this fan keeps me cool during those periods, even on the hottest days of the year. Noise level is very quiet, unless you have it on papers and off balance. I had one of the legs on sticky pad one time and it rattled a bit, but once i removed it, back to quiet. Worth a purchase.
