4.0 out of 5 stars Taking over the metal scene, November 2, 2000
By

This CD is a great major label debut. Learning the ropes first on Ozzfest 2000, then going back out on the road with Soulfly and downset., this band is great. Being backed by Ozzy himself on his record label, Divine, doesn't hurt either. Songs like 'I Can't Die' and 'Fallout' display the extremes the vocalist can go through. The crunchy guitar work makes this a great, catchy, metal album that will definitely stay in your CD player for a long while. Inches From The Mainline is something everyone should own .

5.0 out of 5 stars A big change, but still a great band!, October 12, 2000

Right from the start you could hear a change. From "Pushing Me" right through to "Leader of Losers" you can tell Slaves On Dope went for a harder, more powerful sound. From their previous album "One Good Turn Deserves Another" it's easy to see the change, but they have not lost a step. I was amazed by the sounds of this new cd, just finding myself sucked right in from start to end. Jason's voice was outstanding on the first cd, but on "Inches from the Mainline" he just took it up a notch. Adding the powerful voice of his, just being able to scream away making the song that much more hard hitting. Not once could I stop listening, and nor will I ever. Slaves On Dope, a great band to come from Montreal, and glad to see them rising higher.

5.0 out of 5 stars They're From Canada???, December 18, 2001

No offense, but I haven't heard much good music from there. This CD kicks ass. The first song is pretty funny, even though it's four seconds long. The lead singer sings mostly about doing drugs, I think. The lyrics are really good. My favorite songs are the first six (even though the first isn't even a "real" song), but my favorite has to be "I Can't Die." For some reason I really like the chorus, even though I don't quite get it.

This album makes you want to sing along and head-bang and air-guitar and air-drum and jump and scream and...

Well, just get it.
