Packed with thematic material, October 5, 2006

Even more than most Goldsmith scores, this one is dense with thematic material, much of it reminiscent of his other works. There are themes here closely related to themes from Goldsmith's 'Jonah and the Whale' episode of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Star Trek the Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Poltergeist, Rambo, and others. He digs into the bag of tricks on this one. Highly recommended.
