Incipio MacBook Air 13-inch Slim Sleeve Case - Black

I was looking for something lightweight, fashionable and sleek, and this fit the bill and then some. Unlike fabric or neoprene, this sleeve has an easy-to-wipe exterior, doesn't snag, and feels sturdy. I like the cork lining, too. My Macbook Air fits in snugly, without any chance of slipping out of the case.

Bought this sleeve for the 2010 13" Macbook Air.

The stitching on the sides seems to be strong, and the computer fits very snugly with no overhang.

It doesn't add much weight to my bag, and I love the light green color!

I tried a couple others, and returned a couple others. This is the best case out there for your new Macbook Air 2010 13.3 model. I use it all the time, whether I am just taking my MBA to starbucks or the office - or - put it into my computer bag for trips. Either works great and it is the slimmest case that protects your $1200+ purchase. I would, however, recommend you use a screen cloth between your keyboard and screen.....the spacebar will appear on your screen since it rubs against the screen when closed.

What a great sleeve for my new MacBook Air! it just fits like a glove. And it doesn't add much weight to it. Kind of like carrying around a note pad binder.

I will attempt to use this sleeve to protect the Air going through TSA security. I hope it works. I don't see why it wouldn't as it has no zipper, metal parts, etc. And it will make my life easier.

This is a great sleeve for the MacBook Air.

The good:

The case looks nice and is well stitched. Tapered from top to bottom, like the wedge shape of the Macbook Air.

The bad:

While the proportions are spot on, the top is flappy with the Macbook Air inside. In other words, contrary to some of the other reviews, the fit is snug only at the bottom.

Also, the case definitely needs more padding. It will provide the Air with protection from scratches, and nothing more. The interior is lined with a very thin material, which feels rather hard against the "leather" exterior.

The ugly:

Emits a very strong chemical odor from the lining material, and I'm not talking about some kind of "new car" smell. I got a massive headache the first time I took the case out of the plastic, and immediately had to go outside to air it out. The smell hasn't gone away, so I've requested an RMA for it. Haven't received a reply yet, but I'll post an update later.

In summary: Look elsewhere. I got a neoprene sleeve from another manufacturer instead. I would've considered keeping the Incipio Orion as a backup case because it was so cheap, but the odor is unbearable.

Great case from all the other ones I've seen for the Air. Love the simple design and it fits the new 3rd gen 13'' Macbook air perfectly! Its made of synthetic leather but the material doesn't look cheap. It's thin but also has enough cushion to protect your laptop from being banged around in a purse/bag.

Gave it one start down because the color isn't exactly like the one in the picture. It is NOT pastel pink. Like the other reviewer says, its more of a bubble gum pink. I think I would've like it better if it was lighter. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product.

Really great slip cover for your Air. Much more rigid than I expected which is a good thing. Looks very good and more importantly, does it's job by giving you excellent surface protection for your Air while giving some moderate edge protection in the event of a short drop or when used in a light bag. Even better, the cover works as an EXCELLENT mouse pad so it's perfect for the frequent traveler who likes to bring their mouse with them. The only minor flaw is that sometimes the port cover snags on the outside of the cover if open. It would be nice if the seam on one end would be shorter to allow you to charge or connect a monitor for a short period of time while in the case. (The vents are never obstructed either.) Excellent product overall.

The sleeve is great, fits the Air perfectly and lets me carry it in another bag without problems. Lovely, happy pink color. Bubble Gum is a good description for the pink as it reminds me of the color of bazooka gum - sans sugar coating. My only complaint (and it is not a big deal) is that the pink can get dirty fast. Or rather, it shows the dirt quite well. As for quality, the sleeve is well made, has good basic protection (a bit thicker than I originally though it would be), and the stitching is even and strong. Also, the Air is easy to take in and out of the case without having to grab the computer too hard, but the textured inside ensures that the Air does not slide out. Well thought out design.

I will definitely buy one again if needed.

I use this with the first generation Macbook Air (MBA) and it works well. I have to slide it in front side first since the hinge slide of the the MBA is a little too think to fit comfortably. I like the convenience of a sleeve as compared to zippered pouches I have used on my MacBook Pro. This sleeve will at least protect the unit on three edges and both the top and bottom which is all I was looking for. It fits the bill for me of providing basic protection with little bulk or weight which is why I bought the MBA to begin with. I did not given it 5 starts because small defect on the open edge of the sleeve which I would not expect for this price.

Two things ...

FIRST, this sleeve IS what it says it IS ... beautiful, fits like a glove, funky but not creepy color, and sturdy. SECOND, this sleeve DOES what it says it DOES ... protects your new MacBook Air from scratches, dings, and grime while it's in your computer bag, attache, and any other bag.

I mean let's be honest -- we bought this laptop because we wanted to be able to take it ANYWHERE WE WANTED, and as much as we tell ourselves that we're always making the right choices in terms of how to pack it to keep it safe and protected, we've got to admit the truth that we're normal people, living normal lives, and making normal mistakes when it comes to our laptops. But here's the deal -- get your hands on this sleeve and the other choices with regard to your laptop will take care of themselves.

You bought the best, thinnest, fastest laptop you could get your hands on. Now get the best sleeve. You won't be disappointed. Godspeed.
