I had a tough time deciding which case to invest in for the protection of my super nice Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I usually opt for the flexi-gel plastic one-piece cases that slip on and add very minimal bulk, but this isn't a cheap phone nor an easy phone to hold on to (it's slippery and very thin) so I think it deserves an extra layer of protection to keep it in top notch condition for the next 2 years of my contract and maybe even a little longer. I really like this case and highly recommend it to anyone with the new Nexus. It feels solid in my hands; the case makes the phone more grippy so it's easy to keep hold of it. The contrasting colors add a little touch of fun and design, and I like the idea of purchasing a different color set later on and switching out the backs to change up my phone's look once in a while. Also, if you're worried about this case being as bulky as something like an Otterbox, don't be worried...it's not overly huge or too bulky to slip in a pocket or a purse. You don't have to worry that you'll be carrying a big brick of a phone around, because this phone is still a nice slim size even when covered with this Incipio case. I can't stress that enough.

First things first - pros:

Well designed - I had no issues with buttons being pressed accidentally; volume and power buttons are covered by the case, but due to the case design, you can feel where they are (see them as well) and can tell when you pressed the button - probably better than with the case off, as the rubberized covering give you better feel.

The external speaker, camera, and headphone jack are all just as accessible as before - zero issues with that.

This wasn't 100% obvious for me in the photos, but the case is two pieces - the gray is a very flexible silicone covering; the black is a hard shell/frame - this has two benefits - first, its easier to get the case on and off than a pure hard shell case if you need to swap the battery out. Second, much better protection than a soft shell case. It also comes with screen protector, but since the screen on the Nexus is very scratch resistant, I didn't bother with putting it on. I don't like screen protectors at all unless I need to use them, and for my work environment, I don't feel the Nexus needs one. Bonus points still for including one if you want one - I just can't attest to the quality of it; it does fit, that's the best I can do :)

Grip - For me, the Nexus was a bit too wide and thin to hold securely - its a slippery phone as well; combine that with medium sized hands and you have a phone that is easily dropped. Thankfully never have, but have certainly came close. This case fixes that issue; gives you a bit more depth to hold onto, and the silicone gives you a better grip.

Finally - it doesn't block the display at all, or have any effect in the way I use the phone.

Cons - the case could be better looking. How? I don't really know, maybe cooler colors? The bare Nexus looks great; this makes it look like everything else. This is a minor complaint; pretty much all cell phone cases are ugly - the gray and black at least is better than most.

Verdict: I just got this phone, and haven't tried any other cases - I just know what I look for in a good cell phone case, in general. This hits all the boxes - good protection, better grip, buttons work, doesn't hinder using the phone in any way - you need a case for this phone, don't kid yourself; with that in mind you will not be disappointed with this one.

I've tried several cases for my Galaxy Nexus which is fitted with an extended battery and rear cover. In general, rubbery soft cases will stretch to fit the configuration, but thin, hard snap on cases will not snap shut. I want a case that is not extremely bulky (like the Otterbox Defender) but not so thin that it would offer zero protection. This case seems to be the best compromise as it's part soft silicone and part hard shell

Pro's - Looks pretty good imho
Will fit on phone w/extended battery with a very slight separation between the two sections on the side
Nice rubber edge on the top(around the glass) so you can put it down on a table and the glass screen has some protection
Will fit in the Seidio Active Holster if you go that route
Good price
Rubber buttons for the volume and power are aligned properly and work well. Some cases have buttons that are improperly aligned or that are prone to inadvertent activation.

Con's - The rubbery parts which are around the edges do attract and hold lint. Some folks have gotten the gray/black combo to avoid the lint but I hear that the gray looks pretty bad.
Does add bulk to the phone which may make it hard to put into side cases, etc

Everyone has different likes and dislikes in a phone case which is why there are so many on the market. After trying the Seidio Surface and a couple Verizon generics I found that this was the best all around
