This product arrived today and works VERY well with my new iPad 2 and smart cover.
It is a stylish way to protect your iPad or iPad 2.

So it was on Day 29 when I noticed that the stitching on the flap had come apart. I looked at the buyer's return policy and they would only accept it if it were new in its package. The description said to contact the manufacturer because it's covered under a warranty for a year. I contacted Incipio, but never heard back from them.

As for the product itself, the pouch is so snug around the iPad that it's hard to put in and pull out. I'm sure they do that so that over time, the leather will relax and allow the iPad to move in and out more freely. Unfortunately, my case didn't last that long.

I bought this envelope along with the Incipio Feather for Apple iPad - Frost for about 40% off and I like it very much. The leather interior is sturdy but soft/smooth and it took only a few days to relax around the shape of my iPad. It does exactly what I need it to do: protect my iPad from dust or scratches at home or while in my shoulder bag while keeping a low profile.

Why I took a star off:
The felt exterior is a debateable design choice... It's a nice contrast to the leather tab and logo patch, but even after a month I'm noticing slight wrinkling along the face of the flap and small loose pockets where the envelope molds around the edges of the iPad (suggesting a lack of adhesive underneath the felt). I've read that laying a cloth over the felt and using an iron at low temp can get the wrinkles out, and if it's self-adhesive felt that might correct the loose bits, too.

Another reviewer commented that the stitching at the flap started to come apart. I'm wondering if she meant the leather tab -- it's held onto the flap with just two heavy stitches on the sides. Even in the photos you can see that the top of the tab moves freely. I might consider a bit of fabric glue under the top there for some reinforcement, but with light-duty use I don't see myself having any problem. Anyone who expects heavy use/handling might want to consider something with a more rugged clasp.

Still, for a good-looking functional product on sale, I'm happy with my purchase.

For a while now I've been using folio-style cases for my iPad (original, not 2). I got tired of the bulk added by those cases and decided that I was going to pick up something slimmer to just hold the iPad without a lot of extra bulk, etc. I received this thing today (ordered late Friday night and it got here at 9:00 am on Monday, thanks Amazon Prime!) and my first impressions are that it's great.

Actually, that's not true. My VERY first impression was disappointment because the packaging says, "Specifically Designed for iPad 2". But, after a quick research session, it appears Incipio didn't change the design for the iPad 2. PHEW! So, my second-first impression is still great.

I pulled this puppy out of the packaging and immediately loved the felt exterior. It's not fuzzy, plush craft-store felt, but more of a high-end, tightly woven felt similar to something you'd find on furniture. The stitching is a sort of soft golden yellow to match the interior and contrasts nicely with the charcoal on the outside so it just looks really modern and classy. The leather closure tab seats securely under its loop and a nice design element by Incipio was to let the flap-end of the tab lift up so you can get your fingers under it so it's easier to grasp while closing it. Opening it is easy as well by just pushing on the tucked end and it easily slips out.

The fit on this thing is amazing. It's snug (almost too snug, really) and the interior is this sort of suede or soft leather. It provides a bit of grip so the iPad doesn't just come sliding out when you open the flap. This was a good design choice by Incipio. It's nice fabric and provides a soft surface for your iPad to squeeze into, keeping it safe from scratches and dust.

I can't really think of many negatives. I'm assuming the case will loosen up a bit over time and ease some of that tension when putting the iPad in and pulling it out. I use a Zagg screen protector on the front and ordered the Incipio Feather case to put on the back of my iPad. I assume it will be fine as Amazon has them paired together in the Buy This + This + This for X Dollars, but I will update this as soon as I know. Also, this case doesn't offer any sort of standing position or typing position, so if that's important to you, then look elsewhere. I have a collapsible stand for my iPad for watching movies, etc. and it takes up about as much space as a battery charger in my bag so I don't mind carrying it around and I only take it with me when I think I might need it, which is not very often.

All-in-all I'm thinking this will be a great pouch for my iPad. It will keep it safe from scratches and dirt while it's in my messenger bag and give me a soft landing space so I can put my iPad down on tables, etc.

I put the Incipio Feather on my iPad and it still fits in the sleeve, although a bit tighter now. I'm sure it will loosen up with time. This is a great, lightweight combo!

I love this case! It's stylish, simple, understated and professional... the perfect case that can dress up or dress down depending on the occasion, equally perfect for client meetings or vacation. Almost everywhere I've taken it, I've gotten compliments and questions on where I found it. It's well constructed - and I love the contrast between the soft, light brown suede interior and the tough, thick gray felt exterior, and the leather closure tab with light stitching adds a functional - yet really cool looking - touch to the style.

i love this thing even though i don't use it much. it's absolutely beautiful and the inside of it is pretty snazzy, too.

I love the way this case looks- it's like the great business suit version of an iPad case. It does a great job of protecting the iPad while being sleek and not bulky. The only issue I have is that the corners have become a little soft- but I do carry the case in my bag on a daily basis, so it's normal wear and tear. I just wish they were a little more crisp and sturdy.

Product use:
- iPad 2 + polyurethane smart cover = snug/pretty tight fit
- so snug that dust lines from the smart cover magnet spacers show up on the iPad 2 screen after they've been in the case. Not a problem since the dust mark can easily be wiped away
- solid protection when iPad 2 is in a bag or when in hand on-the-go

Possible product improvement:
- the rectangular leather flaps are only held in place by two stitches, hence gentle use is almost a requirement.

Other note:
- checked with Incipio representative that this case is originally made for the first iPad, but is also being sold as an iPad 2 case. Therefore, not sure if the fit will be as snug if it's just the iPad 2 in the case

I've had a couple of other iPad cases, but I love how simple this one is. I already use an Incipio feather case and this slip 'envelope' is a perfect companion. Although this case is somewhat padded, it is not meant to be a super heavy-duty case. It is however, a great case to protect from other items (like keys!) in my purse, and gives quick easy access when I need the iPad.

Since it's just an envelope style - I figured surely it would work for my iPad 1 - not really. It slides in just fine but you have to tug really hard to get it out. I don't know if it would loosen up for time...it's pretty stiff. But I'm pretty sure I'll pass this on to my iPad 2 friend, doesn't really work for me. I have it 3 stars because it is a nice envelope case, seems well constructed and after all it does say for iPad 2 - which I'm sure probably fits just fine.
