I had seen this mentioned on a site before I purchased my MacBook Pro. I decided to contact the manufacturer (and now the Seller) with a few generic questions. They were very responsive. I purchased one the other day. Yes, it is not cheap, but neither is the MacBook Pro. If you want a well-built, light, stable, functional stand that also compliments the design of the Mac, you can't go wrong.

I do own one of these, for the 15" MBP and it is great. It's actually made out of aerospace-grade aluminum (essentially a titanium blend), and hand assembled in the United States of America. You can stand on the thing without it bending or breaking. It's also ridiculously light. One thing I love about it is that you can put it in the same case as your laptop because it's so thin and the lifted portion folds in. It is by far better than the iRain or any other MacBook (Pro) stand you can get.
