The authors did an excellent job of presenting Special Education to thier readers. The organization of the text makes it easy for the reader to follow along and makes a great reference guide for teachers in the classroom!

Do you know what "collaboration" means? According to this book it's about talking to your co-workers and making sure to be nice to them....and it takes 10 text-book sized pages to explain that simple fact.

Then there's the section on laws and modern special education concerns, where each major law is given a paragraph and a half of explanation, and the acronyms for these skipped-over laws are used consistently from that point onwards without further explanation.

That's really the problem with this book. It's too much for some things, and not enough for others. The writing is about as engaging as the instructions for installing your cable tv, and the stories are well too short to carry any significant meaning.

In short...skip it. If this is your classroom textbook, as it was mine, I feel your pain.

Good text on special populations. A lot of good strategies and explanations of terms. I know there is a newer edition so hopefully there was more updates to procedures.

I needed this book for a class on inclusion. So far, it's just fine. The quality was good and it arrived on time.

This book is full of useful information for teachers. It certainly is practical, as it says on the cover. This book is particularly useful for teachers of bilingual/ELL/TEFL/TESOL/CELTA students and is a must read.

Many of the examples given in the book covers instances where English, reading, writing, and speaking are given consideration, along with suggestions for teaching these in an inclusive manner to promote academic performance of ALL students.

I needed the book before a certain date and he made sure I got it. He takes a few days to respond to emails sometimes but overall a great exchange.

Had to buy this book for a class. Read every chapter, but it's very easy to skim. There are lots of practical examples that can be read extensively or easily skipped over if you easily grasp the concept. Overall not a bad text book.

This book was in extremely good shape and at a very good value. I saved a ton of money by not buying this at the school's bookstore. I will never again purchase a book at a college bookstore.

This is a great book for someone who is interested in assisting and working with special needs. The books gives site add. and ideas on how to manage a classroom when working with special needs children children.
