From Library Journal
When the vicious killer she has helped send to jail escapes and threatens revenge, company president Erin Cortland reluctantly agrees to let her father hire a bodyguard-and ends up in the forced company of sexy Jake Hunter, the one man she never wanted to see again. The generally lively writing keep things moving despite a rather thin, not always suspenseful plot; and although the protagonists are often exasperating and occasionally dense in their refusal to come to terms with their feelings, the attraction between them is exciting and the sexual tension electric. Many of Ray's (Undeniable, Arabesque: Pinnacle, 1995) books have appeared on Blackboard, the African American National Best Seller List; she lives in Dallas.
