About the Author
ian pierce, aka Johnny Jughead, aka John Pierson, has been writing and producing plays in Chicago since 1991. He studied Literature and Improvisation for the theater at Columbia College in Chicago He is mostly known as the guitarist and co-founder of the band Screeching Weasel. He has been releasing records with this band since 1988. screeching weasel is a highly influential punk band, who have inspired among many others: Greenday and blink 182. After studying improv in college, then at Second City and Improv Olympic, he began writing full length plays, all performed at many different theaters throughout Chicago. He performed with the improv group known as Sheila for 3 years. The group is best known for their long running show called Sheila's giant Wall Of Plot Twists. In 1996 he was recruited into the experimental theater group The Neo-Futurists, mostly known for Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. It is Chicago's longest running latenight show (12 years). He is currently still recording records and performing Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. He has taken a temporary hiatus from writing full length plays.
