It's finally here!,

I heard this on KCRW and have been eagerly anticipating this release. The sitar on Way Out is amazing! This is what really should have happened to the Supreme Beings of Leisure's music. I highly recommend this album for all of your international spy-fantasy soundtracks. The Way Out remixes by Mike Hiratzka and Q-Burns Abstract Message are stellar. When The Daylight Comes is 60's era Bond girl chic. This is a great record.

Music to dance and seduce by...,

This is one FUN cd -- witty and amusing, jazzy and jammin'!!!
The music swicthes up from being Latin-ish, Middle Eastsern-ish, hip hop-ish and Henry-Mancini-spy-spoof-ish. It's giggly, sexy, and fun -- something me and my girls can dance to before, during and after cocktails. Jailyn's voice goes from liquid lounge to newly funky and it all fits. The sitar is FABULOUS in "Way out," the languid throng of "Love Robbery" is spell binding, and "In this life" is so playful it's impossible not to sing along. And I love the sexy surfer groove of "Under my skin." I've never heard anything like that.

This album is cool, funky, orignal and I love it. The lead singer has an amazing voice that fills the room with a funky cool vibe. It is great backgroud music or anytime music. It is fun & lively and makes a great addition to any music colletion. I highly recommend this album to anyone who likes interesting orignal music and lyrics.

Lazy seems to be Supreme Beings of Leisure in lean mode, for the most part. Although most of this album isn't as lush, moody and complex as a lot of the earlier SBL stuff, it's still a very pleasant listen. Some of the beats are... ahem... on the lazy side... and a couple are actually grating. But hey, I could probably listen to Jailyn (lead singer of both bands) sing the phone book. That voice needs very little adornment, and it is hard to detract from. Of the first 4 tracks, only "Love Robbery" is a dud, in my opinion. The others are somewhere on the scale between "really dang good" and "classic". I've listened to "Runaway" twice in the last few minutes, and won't mind if it plays again before I'm done writing. I'm glad to have many of these tracks to add to the SBL tracks I've enjoyed for so many years.

Without sounding or inching towards poppy this group lays down some great tracks. Daylight and Love Robbery being the two top clever tracks. Great moods all over the album will make this hard to take off repeat. Former members of Supreme Beings of Leisure bring all the musical savvy to this group and singer shows great promise and talent.

DIG!,

The was Supreme Beings of Leisure transmute into the subtle trip-hop of Lazy with the smokey smooth voice of Jailyn White! Jailyn's voice carries the mystic of the music blending jazzy blues into modern soul. The album begins with the kickin' Daylight, Way Out, and Love Robbery, lending international flavor to groovalicious refrains. From there we move into hip-hop vibes with Same Old Alibi from Random and into the more introspective songs like Valley of the Wasteland and Under My Skin. The album concludes with a samba jam You Are the One that had us dancing like fools. I highly recommend this album for any lover of electronica, downtempo, trip-hop, or world groove. Wish I could give it more stars! Also, unlike some electronica that only sounds good in the studio, Lazy sizzles on stage so go see them if you can!
