The INCRA HingeCrafter makes for 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 & 3/4-inch hinges That's right, you now use the HingeCrafter along with your INCRA Positioner to make four different diameter hinges with our famous incremental accuracy. The HingeCrafter easily works with extra-length hinges. Between the four diameters and the many possible lengths with longer drill bits, you have hundreds of options for your next hinge based project. Your only limit is twice the useable length of your drill bit. The included bit will make hinges well over 10-inch long. Ask our dealers for even longer bits for the longest wood hinges you have ever seen. Four diameters, dozens of lengths, unlimited choices.

I own a ton of Incra Products, and every single one of them is a masterpiece of precision and well-thought out manufacturing. The Hingecrafter is no exception!

If you've ever looked at, or tried to make wooden hinges with precision, you probably know the difficulties. But Incra has solved a plethora of issues with crafting them, and the HingeCrafter makes the whole process as easy as following the DVD and well-written printed instructions without trying to translate what they are telling you to do. EASY!

To use the HingeCrafter effectively, you need to also have or buy a set of router bits that are specifically designed for this use. Whiteside sells a set that is marked for Incra (Available on Amazon). Other bit manufacturers also have Incra labled sets for this and other purposes.

The jig requires wood that is carefully milled to thickness (no problem with a jointer and planer). The end result is way cool and very unique. You can't run down to the hardware store for these hinges!
